Texas Heat and Humidity - Breaths

This jacket is very well built and is worth its price. I've been attacked yearly by Wasps and/or Hornets and/or Bumble Bees and/or Honey Bees on our acreage. After the last attack a couple weeks ago and the discovery of a huge bee hive 50 yards from my house, I decided to buy some protection. I've been outside in the jacket 4 times for a hour or more in 95 degree, 60% humidity conditions. That is miserable conditions. You'll sweat in the shade with just a thin shirt. You are going to sweat in this jacket also, but it breaths nicely if there is a breeze. It's thick enough that stingers can't get through. I went after the bee hive and bees went after me. No issue. The elastic in the cuffs and waist are really sturdy. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone wanting to prevent stings and who live in hot, humid climates.

No over heating, no stings, veil sits well

Feel completely confident in this ultra breeze jacket. I am a woman and typically in between mens large and x-large. I went x-large. I probably could have gone for large, but this way i have plenty of room inside it for extra layers if needed. Cuffs are way too big for me, so i definitely have to use the velcro. Have gone into the hives several times with it including a cutout with our spicy Russians. No stings (unlike my partner.) Haven't worn a hat with it. The fencing veil falls nicely. Even though it is NOT lightweight, I kind of forget about the jacket, which means I'm not thinking about hot and sweaty. WIN!

Worth every penny!

Having worked with more traditional bee clothing for years, this jacket has been revolutionary for me. Although heavier than normal cotton/poly jackets, the ventilation more than makes up for it. I don’t like getting hot. I need to rest and hydrate more often with the old coat. Not with this. I stay cooler and am able to work longer between stoppages. I get more inspections done each day and don’t feel like I’ve been run over by a train at the end of it. Also, with the three layers of fabric, this jacket is virtually bullet proof to stings! Even when wearing a standard jacket, bees can sometimes find a spot where the material is flush to your skin and sting through. Not with this jacket. If your skin is covered, you’re protected. Simple as that. Worth every penny!

No more stings...at least not on my back, neck, or arms.

I bought this suit after a week of being stung 20+ times a day working my honey bees and I haven't been stung more than twice a day since. The jacket works very well, the zippers are good and strong, but could use more wax to lubricate them. If there is a breeze at all it feels really good, unfortunately, when there is no breeze, it is still HOT and I drip with sweat until soaked to the toes. It seems to be well made and everything is like it should be. I bought the extra large (the size I normally buy for my shirts or jackets) and it is a little snug. It isn't a bad snug, but it is definitely not too big.

Sting Proof and COOL

I don't normally do reviews but I was so impressed with this I just had to take a minuet and let potential "future" buyers know. If you purchase this item you will not only be impressed with the product itself but the packaging it arrives in as well. And that says a lot about how much they care about their product. It shows not only the excellent workmanship but quality and value. I for one am VERY please with this and just wanted to go on record to let others know this is simply awesome.

Very pleased. I hate wearing miserably hot overalls. This will make summer beekeeping more tolerable. June 29, 2015 Update: Pros: Made in USA, Cooler than overalls I used to wear, no stings. Did a good job two weeks ago while collecting my first swarm. Cons: Not as cool as I had hoped. Scratchy material, not very comfortable. Pricey. Probably should have just kept my old overalls. August 24, 2016 update: 2 years without stings. Not sure if it's the jacket or improved skills as a beekeeper. I'd say the latter. Still not very comfortable, scatchy, and still hot. Gonna rate this 4 stars.

Great material / cheap zipper

I enjoy the ventilated jacket and used it 5 days a week for 8 - 10 hrs a day in the hot & humid Southeastern conditions. After about 1 month, the zipper began to corrode and would not zip properly. Had to replace the zipper with a plastic coated, heavy duty zipper. Great material, well constructed, comfortable, just needs a better zipper.
