Warning How to properly measure
If you follow the directions of the UFlex.com you will come up short on your cable. (The manufacturer recommends to measure out from the center of the transom to the first turn, add the length to the second turn, add the length to the center of the steering wheel , add 4 inches for each 90 degree turn then round up to the nearest foot.) I did exactly this and come up over a foot short. What you need to do is measure from the center position on the steering pivot for the engine (at amidships) to the steering gear case input portal (the point where you bolt the metal end bracket found on the end of the cable to the steering gear case). A good hack is to use a section of garden hose (that approximates the flexibility of the cable, no kinks please) to get this measurement. Or if you are doing a replacement use your old cable. Lay it out and measure with the engine push rod exactly in the center of its travel to the end of the fitting on the cable. This measurement is how many feet you order of Uflex universal steering cable. Otherwise this cable was fine however the exit slide tube was missing its pinning fixture. Not in the box and the sales photo shows it to be there.

Love the cable perfect fit did not no the lock nut for the steering box was separate need to let buyer’s know it’s not included
