Awesome shorts!

These are unlike any other workout shorts I've tried, but I love them! They have a swimming trunk feel to them, I guess because TYR is a big swimming brand and they seem to be branching out into more general athletic wear. These have a liner so you don't wear underwear with them. The liner does a great job of keeping private parts tucked away without being too tight. The liner's pretty long so there's no risk of being exposed. They're super comfy and feel great no matter how you're moving or stretching. I like the sleek look of the waistband. The ties tuck away on the inside, leaving a clean look on the outside. These have a 6" inseam, so they have quite a sporty look to them. TYR also makes a 9" version if you prefer a longer look. I have both and like them both, although I prefer the sportier look of these 6" shorts. I got a size M, which is my usual size (32" waist), and the fit is absolutely perfect. These are pricey but have a really great fit, look, and feel. I'd absolutely buy more of these!

Meh

These were unimpressive to me. The sewing is good and I like the side darting around the hips for easier movement. There is only 1 smallish zippered pocket on the side (def did not fit cell phone). The short fabric is only printed on 1 side, the inside is white. The "liner" was uncomfortable- somewhere between tight boxers and baggy boxer briefs. The material is more foundation garment tight than stretchy as opposed to the stretch of the outside shorts especially. I felt like I was wearing starched boxers one size too small- there is not compression support nor is their "freedom". Just binding. I ordered my normal size, even though TYR tends to cut small. If I ordered up, the looseness would have been worse in the liner and bagginess of the shorts more pronounced. These didn't work for me as workout shorts, maybe I'll cut the liner out or use them for swim shorts since they are water beading and dry fast.

Inner liner stays in place

Had To Go 2 Sizes Up

My son usually wears a size large but had to go XXL. I was skeptical of the size chart because XXL is typically way too big for a 35" waist but it was correct. Very nice shorts for running and crossfit. It has only 1 pocket (zippered) on the front right hip. I wish they had a pocket on the liner for a phone like many of its competitors' shorts have, especially for the price.

Great Fit and Great Look

I’m a bigger guy who’s been working on getting fit. I’ve looked at a few pairs of lined athletic shorts before but never picked up any because I was worried they wouldn’t fit. This pair DID fit and feel great for me who usually wears pants with a 42 waist. I really like the look of these. They feel and look like premium-grade running shorts. The zipper phone pocket held my iPhone just fine but I do wish I had a pocket on both sizes of The lined shorts are very comfortable. Unlike netting, this feels like a pair of compression shorts. I’d recommend not trying to layer these on top of any other compression pants or shorts. When I tried the liner just wanted to slide off them. Bottom Line: I’m very happy with these shorts and will probably be picking up additional pairs, including some unlined pairs.

Great shorts with a stretchy compression liner

The Tyr shorts are made in PRC (china). The shorts have two different fabrics, the outer loose fitting shorts are made from 54% polyester (recycled), 32% polyester, and 14% spandex. The inner compression shorts do not have any fabric details, but a similar Tyr pair are 78% recycled nylon and 22% xtra life lycra. I am a size 36 waist and the large size fits me well and I have thigh compression with the inner shorts. These shorts are well made. I recommend them. 5 stars

Great swimming shorts for water, gym, or everyday wear.

The media could not be loaded. One of the places I workout is at an Aquatic Center. TYR is everywhere around there. This is my 1st pair of shorts which I’m wearing to workout in. They are my favorite workout shorts right now. They look great and allow me to perform all necessary movements in my routine without issues. Made with 54% Recycled Polyester, 32% Polyester, 14% Spandex. These shorts hold up very well to my rigorous training. The hydrosphere fabric is made with sustainable 4-way stretch material for a high water repellant yet soft and durable finish. Maximum stretch and sweat-wicking comfort waistband. Large secure zipper cell-phone pocket. Athletic fit for non-restricted movement. Vented side-hem for additional airflow.

Nice running shorts

At first glance the TYR Men's Athletic Performance Workout Lined Momentum Shorts seem to be a bit expensive. But once you notice the quality of materials and workmanship, the price does start to make sense. These shorts are extremely comfortable: Loose enough to not constrict, but firm enough to be comfortable. The material is soft to the touch, does not chafe and is definitely dries super fast. There is only one zippered pocket - but that's all I need for a music player and my keyes. Overall I am quiete happy with my purchase and would recommend these shorts to anyone looking for performance oriented workout/running shorts.
