Perfect for sensitive skin and those sensitive to scents

I am sensitive to fragrance in products, like detergents and trash bags. It's hard to find items without added fragrance sometimes and using products with fragrance with usually trigger a headache for me. I also have sensitive skin. I've been using the Free and Gentle for Downy and Tide for years and haven't looked back. My clothes get clean, there's no weird residue, no bad odors are left behind and no issues with sensitive skin. I will say that if I have any clothes that have very strong odors from my husband or the kids exercising, I usually need to use some Tide sport or something to get the musty smell out of those but otherwise the free and gentle does the job.

Works better than expected

Hi, just wanted to share a positive review. I seldom take time to. I was worried the dispenser wouldn’t be great but it is, it doesn’t drip, is easy to fill the cup it comes with (which can sit at the top, mine are in the sink being rinsed out). I wash clothes daily because my significant other and I both work out daily, and the kids have sports. This has worked flawlessly. Just wanted to share. Have a good everyone.

Pretty Good

I like that it’s fairly clean, not scented, and lasts a while. Trying to reduce daily toxin exposure, but not break the bank. Now I notice if my husband washes something of mine in regular detergent-my skin feels awful almost immediately. For what I wash, it works fine. I will say I spend some days working at a barn and those clothes still smell like the barn even after being washed. Still on the hunt for a more natural detergent that doesn’t do that, but seems to be an issue with many.

Best Detergent Ever

There’s almost no laundry problem Tide can’t solve and the scent free leaves my clothes smelling clean - not like a perfume counter at a department store!

It does what it's supposed to do

It does what it supposed to do. The only negative is when you get to the last bit, it's more difficult to get out. Who doesn't need detergent, am I right?

Great for cloth diapers

Wonderful to see a product that does not use so much plastic. We really appreciate the clean without the scent. Perfect for sensitive baby skin. Super effective with cloth diapers!

CLAIMS NOT TRUE

The soap is good. The packaging is ridiculous! Difficult to open, awkward to use, and MORE plastic ended up in the garbage. Regular hard plastic jugs can be rinsed and recycled. Not so with this crazy setup.

What a mess!

We absolutely love the Tide Free & Gentle however this packaging was absolutely awful. It leaked constantly and the spout never poured nice. I’m so disappointed because I loved the concept of using less plastic however it was not consumer friendly and made a giant mess in my laundry room.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this product

I actually ordered this by mistake. I thought that it was the large plastic bottle with the little tap. When it arrived, I was sure that I had been sent the wrong product. Once I read the reviews, I almost returned it. There is nothing to fear here. The box is actually easier to use than the large plastic bottle. I haven't had any spills or dripping yet and that seemed to happen often with the plastic bottle. I am actually curious as to how these people got the detergent to spray out sideways. I'm a klutz and if something can be broken, it will be broken. It must have been one of two things - the box was sideways or the spout was twisted very hard so that the bottom of the spout was sideways. Make sure that the box is correctly oriented and look at the spout. Make sure that the opening is at the bottom. Just common sense, really, although that isn't all that common anymore. Otherwise, it is just the same Tide as in any other packaging, except that it is more concentrated. This may come in handy if a stain needs to be pre-treated. I'm sure that I will find out. I am a klutz, after all. My only concern is that there may be a problem getting the last of the detergent out. If that becomes an issue, I will report back. Otherwise, ignore the bad reviews. This is a good product.

Love the detergent, package is BAD

I bought this box is because of the price and never intended to use the package anyways ( I have my old plastic jug which I saved to keep the liquid) but this is really not a smart design, difficult to open and pour, even to transfer the liquid only for ONE time got all over the place. I can’t imagine using this box for every load of wash. So if you have your old container saved and recycled, the product is always nice, but don’t recommend the packaging.

Great product

Not sure why others had trouble with the packaging? I need to believe it’s been changed, because it’s not difficult at all. You pull off the cardboard cover and pull the tab out and it’s ready to go. No skin reactions, no over powering scent.
