Customer Service Is Practically Non-Existent & SLOW. Avoid Unless You Like Being Ignored.
UPDATE 4 - 08/28/18 I received the glasses as promised, but they were the wrong strength. I wear 1.5 and they sent 1.0. I emailed them back a week ago about this, but have yet to hear a single word from them. It seems poor communication is a staple of the company. Had they given me a way to speak directly to Mona, the one, single person who seemed to both care and know what she was doing, then perhaps I could've gotten a satisfactory resolution. Instead, I'm relegated to emailing their general support email address and waiting on some mouth breather to tell me something useless, just like they always do. I wish I'd never upgraded the star rating because it was just false hopes. I got better service from the now-defunct seller offering counterfeit glasses than I get with the actual company. I don't care how "great" or "innovative" or "useful" your products are - Without customer support to back it up you're nothing. ThinOptics is nothing. I cannot wait for competitors to arise so I can buy their products instead. I'm done with this slug of a company. UPDATE 3 - 08/16/2018 Received an email from "Mona" with ThinOptics to inform me the seller, Muchmuch, was selling counterfeit glasses. The storefront has now been shut down by Amazon. Mona is sending me 2 pair of authentic ThinOptics for me to try. I've raised my rating from 1 star to 3 for the promising news. Rating to be adjusted after I receive the glasses and try them for a few weeks. To be honest, it shouldn't have taken so much back-and-forth via email to get to this point. I had provided full order details when I began this issue with ThinOptics. For every "Mona" working customer service there are a dozen idiots who either don't know or don't care. Unfortunately, I had to deal with an idiot for much of this ordeal. ThinOptics would do well to eliminate the dead weight that drives customers away. I was done with them until Mona came into the picture. Had she, or someone as informed and caring as her, been involved from the start I would've had a pleasant customer experience instead of 2+ weeks of arguing with a person who makes bricks look smart. UPDATE 2 - 08/15/2018 When I challenged ThinOptics on their reply (discussed in 1st update below) they began to backtrack on their claims. Then they offered me a free replacement, which, while nice, doesn't address the defective design that will cause every pair sold to become scratched. BUT, what kills the entire deal is THEY WANT ME TO PAY $5.00 SHIPPING FOR MY "FREE" PAIR! No way, no how, not ever. Ain't gonna happen, ThinOptics. You've gotten my last penny and I will never again use your products. I advise everyone to stay away from these charlatans unless you like cheap products with a defective design, poor customer service, and lies when you try to get help. UPDATE 08/15/2018 After emailing ThinOptics I finally received a reply nearly 2 weeks later. The contents of said reply caused me to drop another star from my rating. It was clear the person replying didn't even read my message as most of their reply was telling me how to clean the lenses. They claim the rim of the glasses "should" protect it against being scratched by the case, but I, and every ThinOptics owner, knows this is not true. The case has continued to scratch my lenses and while they're only 1 month & 1 day old they're almost too scratched to use any more. Look for something else, please! This is a fantastic idea that was poorly executed. I had hope until their lackadaisical "customer support" sent a canned response that simply reiterated how to care for the lenses. I've been wearing glasses of one kind or another for 50+ years and know how to take care of polycarbonate lenses. Mine have never been touched by anything except the case and they get more and more scratches. I've had 6 engineers at work look at them (not telling them what I thought was the source of the scratches) and every single one agreed it was the hard plastic case that is the culprit. I'll take the word of 6 licensed engineers plus my own observations over apathetic customer support any day. These engineers used science to make their conclusions and science deals in fact, not is supposition. -------------------------- While I loved these glasses overall, I had to ding them 2 stars for their propensity to be scratched by the same case they're meant to be stored in. I have attached a picture of mine after 13 days of ridiculously good care. I have never touched the lenses or wiped the lenses, only blown the dust off (and you can see dust in the picture!). I want to give them 5-stars, but because of this I just can't. I hope you'll take my comments at face value. They're meant to be my honest opinions and findings after having them for almost 2 weeks. It's not my intention to shame anyone, just to give honest feedback. Also, I am not advertising for these glasses, but I have high praise in so many areas. PROS: They're relatively affordable. I paid $14.44 for these +1.50 readers. The idea behind these glasses is simple, but genius. They're ultra-thin reading glasses that grip your nose gently, but steadily. They're advertised as being thinner than a nickel, and they definitely are - by a noticeable amount. tl:dr They're THIN. The bridge is a very flexible, "springy" wire covered by a clear plastic sleeve. They'll bend/fold almost any way you like and return to shape. Don't do this because you'll just smudge and/or scratch the lenses. Besides, I assume you're sane and would never do this, but you do you. From a standpoint of weight and comfort, you quickly forget you're even wearing glasses - They are that comfortable. They're so light you hardly feel them. I've taken them to work and just kept them on most of the day because they can sit low enough on the nose to not obscure distance viewing, but still provide a handy and unobtrusive reading area. Stability on your nose bridge is great. I have a very high, thin nose and bridge and I have very oily skin, especially my nose. I work outside and even on a sweaty day, these glasses hold tightly to my thin, greasy nose. (Sorry about the mental image.) The only way I've gotten them to move is if I "crinkle" my nose, like what happens if you smile. So remain somber and they won't move, slide, or possibly fall off. I used the included non-residue adhesive to stick the case to the back of my phone while traveling, where it remained adhered as if it were part of the phone itself. When I returned home, I removed the case and the adhesive strip with relative ease. I'm currently storing the strip between two pieces of wax paper and stored in a plastic zipper bag, which seem to work perfectly as a place to store for future need. (I removed mine because I use a wireless charger at home and the extra thickness kept that from working) I can place the case in my back pocket and literally forget it's there, but it's easy to retrieve. CONS: Really only one complaint - They scratch easily and the very case they're sent in (shown in their picture for the glasses) does most, of the scratching! The lenses are advertised as being hard, and I'm sure they are, but the case material, combined with the sharp edges of the envelope-thin case scratched my pair within the first 24 hours. The edges need to be smoothed and the case REALLY needs a liner. Really, seriously, now. I'll take a thicker case if it's lined with something less conducive to scratching the lenses. The design and function of this very idea is too good to mess up with a case that scratches them. I know you want to keep everything thin, but if it's at the expense of your product retaining its full performance potential then people will stop buying them. I don't want to stop buying them, but I also don't want to have to buy a pair every 2-4 weeks just so I don't have to look through a web of scratches. ThinOptics, please consider redesigning that case. I love these glasses, but the scratching is a deal-breaker.

Love the portability.
Easy to keep in your pocket. I chose to not take the 3m tape peeling off as to use it for toting in my front pocket. Having in on the phone might be okay for some but I would not be able to to use my phone holder .so I chose phone holder. They work good. Not as well made as I was thinking. However I've had no problems with these so far. They do not offer round just the rectangular. The price was good to get the pair that attachea to your key ring or back pack etc. They wanted twice as much. I can't justify that as this point. If these hold up I may consider future purchase. Very glad these are still made. A lot easier to take with you on the go than other readers.

I can read the fine print.
They come with their own little case that you can attach to whatever you'd like to attach it to and I put mine on my Kindle. But I don't need it so much for my Kindle as I do for bottles of medication and lists of ingredients that I don't know who could read but I sure couldn't. I wear glasses but these perch on your nose leg wherever they feel right and you read your little tiny print and then you put them back in this little case. My only problem with it is that I put my Kindle in a messenger bag and I can't find the little spectacles yet but I will and I'll know that I should probably put them somewhere else. Otherwise they're way better than putting glasses over glasses.

Perfect for when you need a little help
So I have regular reading glasses that I wear around the house when I need the help. I don’t carry them with me when I go anywhere because they are cumbersome to lug around on the off chance I may need them. However, there are times when I’m shopping or out to dinner when my glasses would help with reading a label or a menu. These glasses were recommended on an EDC YouTube channel and I decided to give them a shot. They have been a pleasant surprise. I can fold them into a side pocket on my slim wallet for a quick grab. They sit well on the bridge of my nose and they are remarkably useful. Just the other night I went to a fundraiser dinner where I purchased a number of small silent auction tickets. The small kind of tickets where a person fills out their name and address on the back side and then drops the ticket into a bucket in front of the auction item they wish a chance at being drawn for. There was absolutely no way I would have been able to see the lines on the back of the ticket to write my info. But because I had these glasses folded into my wallet, I was able to retrieve them and then subsequently filled out 40 tickets with ease. I highly recommend these glasses.

Best thing since sliced bread
My husband has used these for a few years now and we both sing their praises all the time. My husband is a classic misplacer of things. Always losing his readers but oddly never his phone. And since these go right on the back of your phone I’m not having to read him the menu in mood lit restaurants. We have had many friends purchase these right after seeing them (or using them). These do not last forever. They will break at some point and another pair will need to be purchased. I would say we purchase there 2-3 times a year but they do get used a lot. Bravo!

Neat Little Reading Glasses!
These glasses are great for those times when you need little help seeing - like reading the menu in a dimly lit restaurant. The case attaches to the back of a cellphone so it’s handy anywhere. It is thin enough that it doesn’t add to the bulk of the phone. The glasses are light and and attach securely and comfortably on the nose. The lenses are clear and are available in several magnification levels.

Can’t eat and read at the same time.
These readers are pretty cool and convenient. I know I won’t lose them because they’re with my phone. They’re light weight and I have dropped them several times with no damage. My only issue is, you can’t bend down wearing them and you can’t eat and read at the same time or they will fall right off your face. Other than that, not bad!

Super handy. Works great. But…
Thesen are my fourth pair I’ve bought. I attach mine to the back of my phone. They work great. Pinch comfortably on my nose. Always there if I need them. Handy. My two gripes are, the nose “pads” fall of after a while and at some point the glasses split in two. They work great but are not super rugged.

Fantastic!
Super useful to keep in a pocket. No clunky case. Easy to use with ear cans. Less so with masks.

Fantastic product - love these glasses!!
These looked kind of "gimmicky" when I bought them, but they have turned out to be just awesome and incredibly handy! The fact that the slotted carrying pocket adheres to my phone case (my IPhone has a full case around it) is simply brilliant. I do most of my reading on my phone so I have been placing pairs of glasses wherever I would most likely be using it. Over time, those glasses got either bent or broken, especially the pairs I'd jam in my pockets. Now though, whenever I need to read off my phone, I just have to quickly slip these glasses out of the pocket on the back of my phone case and I'm all set. My phone is always with me, so no matter where I am, when I need to read something, these glasses are right there. I cannot begin to tell you just how helpful that has been - no more patting my pockets in desperation when I realize I don't have a pair of glasses with me, or pulling my glasses out of my pocket only to find that a lens has snapped out or an arm has broken. A couple quick notes about putting them back in the case and putting them on. I almost broke mine the first time because I thought that I was supposed to push them tightly together and then shove them straight down into the slot in the pocket. They go in by placing one lense in first at a downward 45 degree angle. Once the first lense has gone down far enough into the case at that angle, you'll see the other one can now begin to slip into the slot on the pocket as well. Once the second lens is in a bit, you just push down on the bridge and the glasses will literally "click" into place, snug and secure in the pocket. As well, when I first put them on, they kept slipping off the upper part of the bridge of my nose, making me wonder if I'd wasted my money. I could pinch them on lower down on my nose no problem, but they weren't very comfortable, they kind of restricted my breathing a bit, and they looked a little silly. I re-read the instructions and they encourge you to keep trying different positions and placements on your nose, so I kept at it. I eventually found the "sweet spot" right up close to my eyes and, after a few weeks now, I can place them on quickly and they stay in place. I feel only a slight bit of the pinching action on my nose, but it doesn't bother me at all and I can wear them for long periods without any discomfort. If you rub or twitch your nose, they will sometimes loosen, but they are staying firmly in place for me now. I am thrilled to have them!

Handy
Great little reading aid for people who use readers. I use my ThinOptics all the time. My first pair did break near the nose bridge and I sent away for my replacement. True to their word, they replaced it just fine!
