Cured my little one of a horrible rash b/c she had a sensitivity to latex after her Huggies experience
We had just started potty training over Christmas. I have to say, there are some things as a parent you learn with your little one. First, her hand muscles just were not strong enough for her "true" size. She wears 2T pants, but I ended up getting 3T training pants so they were easier for her to pull on and off. After four weeks, she is now better at taking off her pants and pulling them back on. Next, we were devoted Pamper's users. So, I tried those pull ups first. every time we put them on, she would say "Ouchy, Mommy." Hmmm...ok. Then I tried the Huggie's version. This was a mistake. Within two days, she had huge rashes on her back and side where the elastic band was for those training pants. This really set us back. She refused to go to the potty. She was crying all the time and was just a general bear to deal with. As soon as I switched her to the Seventh Generation pants, her rash immediately stopped bothering her. After three days, her rash is almost gone and she is more proactive now with wanting to go to the potty. Thank you Seventh Generation for latex free training pants! Oh, and they work! I send them to day care (where they don't change as often) and they have held up to many surprises. Overall, I like this product and may consider going to the diapers for night time.

There may have been a transient change in some chemical that may cause a rash
Loved this product until we received a box that had distinctly different larger sized "foxy" and these diapers gave my toddler quite a contact rash from ankle to belly (basically the entire path from which one puts them on) with the most prominent raised papules around upper thighs and waist with minor rash on the buttocks and calves. We checked the numbers on plastic bags across several boxes received before and since - all of which are higher than 3964 or lower than 3833 and smaller (and did not induce a rash).

Hmm
I'm use to using cloth diapers. I bought these for a trip. My son is 22 months. These fit a bit tight.

Not for heavy wetters overnight
in fairness, this is a training pant (see kid on toilet in picture) so it is not intended to be used as a super-soaker overnight pull-on style diaper. however, i think that is what a lot of parents are using this for, especially for 3-4 year olds. with that in mind, i want to let parents know that this may not work for them if that is what they want. they are more absorbent that i thought they would be, minus those super absorbent polymers used in the conventional, chemical laden brands. if your child was an average or light wetter overnight these would likely work out just fine. for the afternoon naps or extended car rides, again, they would probably work. but if your child is a heavy wetter, you will probably be doing more laundry than you like and your child may be waking you up, upset, in the middle of the night because they are wet because this leaked. i found that on my son, who seems to be a heavy wetting 3 year old, these would leak less than half the time but still more than once a week. my daughter, wore these just fine as a 2 year old overnight, but she was a very light wetter at night and stopped wetting at night altogether months before she turned 3. just shows how each kid can be so different. we put two towels underneath him and since he actually refuses to wear pajamas, it worked out ok that the towels covered the leakage and he didn't seem to be wet himself, as if the last accident that went overboard so to speak was maybe right before he woke up anyway. we do make sure he goes potty and try to curtail his drinks up to bed time to minimize wetting- so it isn't like he goes to bed with a full bladder and these can't contain it. what i am getting at is that these are not terrible as far as absorbency goes, but they are not extra or ultra absorbent by any means. we tried regular (day time) pull ups which seemed to be slightly better, some leaks, and the night-time pull-ups have not leaked at all. so that might give you an idea. if you tried to regular pull-ups overnight and those worked just fine for you, these might work overnight. i like the plain style with the "1 2 (Tree picture)" and that they are dyed tan, for whatever that is worth which admittedly isn't much. they don't stink like baby powder perfume like some brands, which i hate. and they are more natural, yay! still go in a landfill though and aren't totally biodegradable but at least they are off gassing God-knows-what to my dear child's bum.... i am knocking off a star because they do run small as ALL 7th gen products do and the price is too high in my opinion, and i guess a star for absorbency even though for their intended purpose as training pants i guess they are suitable. but it is my prerogative that the natural diaper companies should make "Overnight" training pants (pull on style) with increased absorbency so that's my two cents.

Satisfied customer
We've been very please with these training pants and they have performed well for overnights for our child. We use them mostly for "just in case", but they do seem to hold a fair amount of liquid in the few instances they've been put to the test. They will reach a point at which they leak (as is expected without additional absorptive material being added), so they would not be appropriate for heavy nighttime use like a diaper. Our little one has very sensitive skin and tends to react to disposables that are made from bleached material, so that is another huge plus for us with these. We'd formerly used Huggies Pull Ups brand training pants; these have performed as well as those did with the additional advantage of not causing our little one to break out. That is one reason we choose to pay more for these than the Huggies brand. These do not have the easy open features of some other training pants, so that may also be a consideration, once you have opened the side(s), the pants must be discarded. This was not a huge problem for us since we are only reusing clean pants and it is not a big deal to take those off the same way one would remove underwear.
