Great for wood, garbage for metal
Despite their being rated for "general purpose" and including metalwork in the description, just no. I work in a knife shop. We tried these because they listed metalwork in their suggested uses and our usual supplier was out. Took less than 5 minutes to have the entire abrasive surface worn smooth. On the wood and resin handles, they worked fine. So long as you aren't trying to do metal, you're fine.

Less than 60 seconds use and the abrasiveness is gone I will never buy that product again

Work pretty good. Seem to last ok for cheeped disc.

The abrasive and glue seem to hold up well to heavy grinding. I made a cardboard donut to go between the backer and disk. This gives some flexibility and lets you use more of the disk surface, instead of just the outer edge.

Different way to grind.
I've always used flap wheels of differing qualities and decided I'd give these a try thinking that with a flexible back plate a fella could "blend" a little better than with a traditional flap wheel or grinding wheel. You absolutely can do that with these, and they last pretty good considering what they are made of. They do no have the cut of a flap wheel, even a worn one, but for certain circumstances these are work the money to have on hand. I've only used them in mild steel fabrication.
