Looks great, easy, and effective!

I got 2 of these gates to keep dogs away from the front door when necessary. For some reason, a lot of the dog gates I found were too narrow for my hallway and kitchen opening. When I started looking for baby gates instead, I found these and thought I'd give them a try because they have the look of wood and metal instead of garish white plastic. They are pressure mounted, so I can remove them anytime and it'll be as if they were never there. It took maybe about 30 minutes to assemble and mount the first one, but the second one was done in under 10 minutes. I didn't find the directions especially helpful, and figured out my own method to get them assembled and installed. I did appreciate the warning labels about the fact that it doesn't look square and that's on purpose. Those of us who don't have engineering brains or experience may not have known that without the warning. One note if you're buying this gate as a gift: it came not in a regular mail package, but rather in the box with a picture and label of what's inside, so there would have been no mystery at all before opening the mail, and neighbors will know what you've ordered until you get home to bring it inside. Overall, I love these gates and find them to be a high-quality product that is working just fine in my home for the purpose of keeping dogs corralled in one part of the house. Highly recommend!

Summer Walk Thru Gate is Great!

We love our Summer Anywhere Walk Thru Gate. It looks good with our dark wood banister so we just leave it up all the time. It is sturdy and easy to use. The babies can't wiggle it down, but the 3 year olds can manage the latch and re-lock it. I like that the opening was a little bigger than some we had considered. I did add 4 pack baby gate wall cups by Vmaisi on each side, which protects the wood corner post and the drywall and paint on the other side. It also helped with the spacing of the pressure screws on each side, making it fit more securely without extending the screws out so far that they were weakened. I put the hinge side on the opposite side of the stair rail so that we can still use the hand rail as we step through the gate. I did add a strip of red tape on the bar across where you step through to alert people to tripping hazard. I was worried about that, but everyone has navigated it fine.

Home Protection from Our Golden!

We recently received a re-homed middle-aged Golden Retriever who thinks he is still a puppy. Everything goes in his mouth! We decided to protect certain areas of our home while re-educating is in progress. We LOVE these gates! Upon initially looking at them, they appear malformed as the stiles are not parallel. Don't worry. This is by design. When you install them as instructed, the stiles become perfectly spaced and parallel and the fit and quality are great. We were installing on non-standard door frames and were initially worried that they may not fit. Again, follow the directions as the gate frame will get compressed which provides the proper size and a solid seating for the gate. It is easy to open/close and Mr Nosy Dog has not been able to figure them out. Pricier than many gates but work perfectly, good quality workmanship and they look nice (not cheap). No hardware to install as is held in place by tension. Have two, will probably get a third for when grandkids visit. (Sigh.)

Best Gate I've Purchased: Easy Install & Easy Operation &

After reading the reviews on too many baby gates & spending way too long, I decided on this gate bc it was a pressure mount gate with 2 extensions included. We originally purchased a Munchkin gate that was impossible & totally aggravating bc the extension required superhuman strength to install, apparently. So after ordering, returning, getting a replacement & returning, I was so happy that this gate took MINUTES to install!! No tools, over exertion, cursing required to attach the extensions. Gate opens easily with one hand & swings in both directions. To close, you just drop it back in place, easy! For now, it's installed at the top of my stairs with just the pressure mount since there's no baby yet. It feels incredibly sturdy so I'm not worried but I will be adding the wall kit in the future. After several mediocre & dysfunctional baby gate experiences, Summer Infant will be my brand of choice for additional baby gates! Highly recommend!!

I was a bit skeptical after purchasing before the gate even arrived, because AFTER I purchased I decided to read the reviews (not smart, I know..) I came across one review with a tape measure stating that the size stated in the info about the gate is wrong & the gate only came out to 36" with the screws pulled out as far as they can go. Upon arrival I had my husband put it together & it does in fact fit our 42" staircase! It's not as sturdy as I would like but it's only because the screws are extended to the max length. I'm confident my mobile 8 month old cannot push the gate out of place though! & It does come with a mount which makes me feel much more secure, so thats nice. Great gate for the price.

Easy install, looks good

We were excited to purchase this gate as the description stated it had an auto close feature but we were disappointed to find that this was no longer an option. The gate was also slightly damaged upon arrival. Other than that, it’s a nice looking gate and installed very nicely and quickly. I would encourage seller to update the description though, to omit the auto close feature.

Buena opción para la seguridad del bebé

Lo compré para la recámara de mi bebé cuando empezaba a gatear. Es robusto, ya que se atornilla en la pared y aunque nos costó un poco de trabajo instalarlo por lo mismo, tengo la tranquilidad de que no se zafa tan fácil y es seguro para mi bebé. El único pero, y es que fue mi error no fijarme, lo quería en blanco pero lo pedí en café y negro...

Fácil de instalar

Excelente producto, la calidad y la apariencia son excelentes y es muy fácil de instalar, no se requiere herramienta, se instala a presión y queda super firme, el seguro es fácil de abrir para un adulto con una sola mano, tenía otra puerta antes que reemplazamos por esta y fue la mejor desicion.

Doy la evaluación después de año y medio de uso. Fue muy útil por su resistencia y fácil instalación, la parte extensible me permitía adaptarla a a dos sitios donde restringía el paso a mi hija. Además por el diseño vertical de los barrotes jamás pudo escalarla. Dejé de usarla cuando tenía 2.5 años de edad porque mi hija aprendió a abrirla.
