Love these shoes BUT they run small!!

First off, i want to say that these are the best shoes if you want your baby to have good support and walking soon. My first two kids started walking at 9month with these shoes after only wearing for a month(I brought around when they were 8months old when they started to pull up with furniture). Now that my 3rd baby is 8months and during the same, i instantly brought these. Now i don’t remember how the size run previously but i needed to size up 1 whole . According to the chart my son is a 4w so i went 1/2 size up for a little room BUT no! I needed to got up a full size. I took away a star because the shoes look to be worn, they came winkle and a little dingy.

Love this, I love that they have half sizes that can also be WIDE. Very important. Shoe was everything

These shoes are soo easy to get onto my baby’s foot, without any hassle. Definitely a great shoe for fat footed baby’s

Very disappointed it looks like a return or used

I ordered these as a gift for my granddaughter’s first birthday. I was very disappointed that they look used or at least tried on and returned. The box was wrecked as was the tissue inside the box and clearly the laces were different. If you are going to resell items please put that in the description so the customer knows what to expect. I expected brand new clean pristine shoes in an undamaged box.

PERFECT...MUST HAVE SHOE for new walkers

This is the PERFECT and MUST HAVE shoe for new walkers. My son is 13 months old and has been trying to stand on his own. The day that I put these Stride Rites on his feet, he started walking. I am NOT exaggerating. These shoes help him balance and give him the confidence to take step after step. I absolutely recommend these shoes for all new walkers and pre-walkers. Also, the leather is soft, comforable, and very easy to clean. I bought these in a size 5 for my 13 month old, and they fit perfectly. My plan is to purchase a second pair in size 5.5 for him to wear after he outgrows the first pair. Please be aware that the shoe laces are a bit long. Be prepared to either double-knot and tuck them into the top of the shoes...or purchase the cute lace-savers (white plastic with the attached bells). I am about to purchase the lace-savers right now. I am sooooooo glad that I purchased these...please buy a pair for your new walking or pre-walking baby. They are amazing!

Great shoe for the first steps

These are great first shoes! They are high enough to support the ankle, which is really important for toddlers. Also the shape of the front of the shoe considers the wobbly walker and helps to prevent tripping over. The material is nice and soft, real leather and easy to clean (we had finger paint all over them and everything washed easily). The great thing is the measuring diagram on the insole. This can be taken out and pressed on the child's foot to double check the correct size. This helped especially with choosing the first shoe size as well as when it was time to move onto a larger version. Overall I would absolutely recommend these shoes for your baby. It is so hard to find a good quality product for small kids and this has exceeded my expectation!

Perfect first walking shoe and very supportive of feet and ankles

Make sure to measure your babies foot before buying as these shoes are true to size! Even though these are boys shoes they look fantastic on my daughter with ruffled socks rolled down over the ankle. These shoes stay on all day and have proven to hold up to the wear and tear of crawling around. Im glad I listened to my mom and other veteran moms to look for stride rite shoes. They still hold up to the great reputation of a fantastic first shoe for new walkers.

Nice shoe, would buy it again but at a SR store

I wanted my 12 month old to have a good walking shoe. The first pair I ordered was too small, so exchanged for another size. The second pair came in an older looking box, the leather on one side of a shoe was wrinkled and not smooth, now the insert on the left foot has come unglued (my husband can fix, he makes cowboy boots). The shoe is nice, they fit well and work for my baby. I have to drive an hour away to find the nearest Stride Rite store so this was the next best thing I could do. Next time he needs shoes, I will make the effort to buy at a store next time for both sizing and product quality.
