I love this reel!
Smoother and better looking than higher end reels. Time will tell if it lasts. Excellent first impressions when fishing.

Solid reel
I got the size 4000 Tempo reel for medium game fish such as salmon. When fighting those fish, you want a solid reel that won't twist and flex. This reel has a solid stem, thin but durable metal handle, and smooth rotations. Many reels are made of graphite or plastic and that makes the stem a weak point. I used a pinpoint metal detector to analyze each part and the neck indeed contains a solid metal component. The real seat however, is all or partly non-metallic but is still durable. What I particularly like is when you switch on the one-way rotation, there is absolutely no give in the opposite rotation direction. Some reels spin back a tiny bit and that causes some twists and knots to form. The quality is worth the price, and is a good contender as a slightly cheaper Pflueger President.

Surprisingly well made! Smooth reel and the line casts out like silk.
Paired this Vertix spinning reel with a 6 1/2 ft Ugly Stik to catch some largemouth. Caught two and the reel handled action well. Drag is strong, reel casts out smooth. I was pleasantly surprised because I was honestly not expecting this reel to do well, had never heard of the brand before. At $40.59 (time of review writing), you get a solid spinning reel with seemingly well made parts and constructed well. It remains to be seen if it can "take a beating and keep on ticking" through a couple more months of usage but I'll update my review if anything goes wrong with it. So far so good, I'd recommend the Tempo brand for now!

Smooth casts for catchin' bass!
This reel feels like a Cadillac. It casts really smooth, like butta! It feels really well made, solid and sturdy, without being overly heavy or needlessly clunky. No line snags or tangles thus far, nor any snaps for the bigger bass. Great reel for the money.

Reel is super slick
I took this out bass fishing and it does a great job at reeling them in. Sometimes you get a reel that feels super clunky and rough, but this is not it! Great pick up, I'm thinking about getting the other sizes as well.

Solid and Smooth
Spinning Reel Tempo - New Vertix Fishing Reel,10+1 BB Light Weight &Durable -Stainless Steel Main Shaft, Collapsible Alu. Handle- Ultra Smooth Powerful Reel with Carbon Fiber Drag Nice, solid feeling reel with smooth operation. Great casting distance with no twists yet. We've only tested this for a couple of days at a lake, not any serious fishing. It did well with some tough, fighting catfish and performed as well as some much pricier reels we own.
