Mediterranean scent

Great product, leaked in transit

A lovely, pleasant, very balanced scent unlike the usually pungent rosemary-scented body products. Not lemon-y, either. It’s the second time I’m buying this shower gel. Bottle is fairly small and great for travel, however the gel is thick and concentrated, lasts a few months with daily use. I’m taking one star off because the bottle is only 3/4 full. Arrived carefully packaged but still leaked. Seller included freebies: 2 travel hand creams and 2 body lotion samples in other scents from the same brand. Very generous and a nice surprise! Overall, I recommend this product.

Too many compromises

A rather expensive shower gel which does a shower gel of a job, but while ticking some boxes for me fails some others. The gel is nice and thick and lathers quite well in hard water; the gel has a very smooth feel and seems to cover with a slightly slimy feel. The consistency is something like fairy liquid from the 70’s and the colour is similar. You also don’t need much of the gel to cover the whole body, which is good as the size of the bottle is a lot smaller than most off the shelf and much cheaper gels. It does wash well and while it has a nice smell, the smell is in my opinion it’s not quite macho enough of a smell for a man and not quite feminine enough for a lady. Overall then a mixed bag it does what it’s supposed to do and gets you clean but there are much better smelling products on the market (and available on Amazon) for a fraction of the cost.

Overpriced for what is essentially, just another showering gel

This is a case of designer brand labelling. £20 for a bottle of shower gel that doesn't stand out from the huge range on offer to the showering public? It's hugely overpriced, so the expectation is that this will be a unique showering experience, which it isn't. The smell isn't particularly distinguishing, and it's not thick enough to last a long time (unlike other high end brands). The plastic bottle is, in my opinion, a little cheap looking. I wasn't aware of any other benefits from using this product, apart from getting clean. The scent doesn't stay on the skin and the bathroom isn't filled with heady aromas either. On the plus side, it's a nice colour, neatly packaged and is an unusual fragrance combo. But I have to say, I was disappointed with this expensive product. Reduce the price by 90 per cent and it would probably fly off the shelves.

Great smell, not overly gendered packaging - recommended

After being thoroughly underwhelmed by another SKIN&CO product that I recently reviewed, an expensive truffle shower gel, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Ignoring the fact that I'd never pay such a high price for a single bottle of shower gel, I love the packaging, the overall aesthetic, the scent and the performance of this Rosemary and Verbena body gel. I'm prone to broken and irritated skin, and so always need to use slightly more expensive body wash etc to avoid any cheap and nasty chemicals. As shouldn't be a surprise, this rosemary body gel hasn't irritated my skin at all. It's gentle, with a great smell, and isn't packaged or promoted in an overly gendered way, which is great. We really liked this shower gel.

I like this better with each use. Love it.

A year later and I love this totally. I have bought more and it is fabulous.. Freshening a great for skin. This is the .first product I have used by Skin & Co and I think it is really great. I love the texture which is thick but not gloopy . I needed very little to make a rich lather and feel really clan all over. The worst of the foaming agents is NOT THERE which is huge PLUS in my book. There is no sodium laureth sulfate, thank heavens> It has no parabens ,no sulphites and lots of other nasties are NOT IN THIS so I love it . I love too the botanicals which are there. The scent seems natural to me.. Rosemary and sort of lemony. I love that .I HATE all these horrid chemical perfumes which are highly toxic and in everything for no reason at all. It gets my Vote.Worth the price I say.

Simple shower gel but a bit expensive

Natural sulphite- free shower gel that is a nice consistency to use on a body buff, it lathers well, this will last longer in theory! I am not keen on the bottle cap opening, would prefer one that flips undone, this one you press one edge of the cap down on squeeze the gel out of the opposite side. This seems to clog up a bit . The fragrance is quite insipid, it could be called unisex as it's not Rosemary enough for a manly scent but not sharply Verbena enough to be a citrusy girly fragrance! I would prefer something a bit longer lasting. On the plus points: it doesnt dry out or irritate my skin and the bottle is a nice design but it's very expensive and I can probably find better for less!
