Medium scrub with effective moisturizing

My January 24 2023 order of ‘SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter w/ Fair Trade Shea Butter Moisturizing Crème Body Scrub 11.3 oz’ arrived March 16 2023. The jar states, ‘Manufactured in the USA using globally-sourced ingredients’ and also indicates Cruelty-Free, Ethically Traded, Sustainably Produced, and Certified B Corporation (a designation that a business meets high standards for many traits including accountability and transparency in areas like employee benefits, environmental and social impact, and charitable giving; I encourage you to research). The product listing states no plastic microbeads are used, but I cannot find any similar statement on the product itself, so I hope that is true. I cannot find any expiration date on the product. The product has a pleasant perfumed scent and a loose creamy consistency which is easy to apply. I would say the creme has a medium scrub; even though it is labeled as body scrub, I did try it on my face once but I think it is too aggressive for your face so best stick with body. I typically have dry skin on my upper arms and shoulders, and this scrub did a good job of defoliating my skin and leaving it soft and moisturized. I am not a fan of overly perfumed products, but this creme falls just within my limits and I thought the scent was stronger in the jar than after use.

Very strong scent

This came packaged nicely. The jar was easy to open. But the scent was very strong. I shaved my legs and the scent was still there by mid afternoon.

Smells so yummy

This product leaves my skin feeling soft, supply and it even has a little glow! The smell is creamy,vanilla and if luscious had a smell this would be it lol! Its a relaxing creamy smell is the best way I can describe it haha. Its a great exfoliate not to rough just enough to make your skin smooth.

Great gentle scrub without abrasiveness, good for sensitive skin

SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Crème Body Scrub SheaMoisture has provided another great product in this body scrub. It is much gentler on my sensitive skin than other scrubs that have sea salt or rough beads in them. This is a HUGE bonus for me, since they usually create redness and irritation, and this body scrub does not. It has that glorious clean, neutral snell of shea butter and nothing artificial. The scrub is a little more liquidy than others, and doesn't have a lot of the grit you usually find in a scrub, although it feels effectively moisturizing and cleansing. This is not a thick scrub, so it can be a little messy scooping it out. If it could somehow be a just a teeny tiny bit thicker, this would help. However, this is a great scrub if you are looking to enjoy a pampering and very moisturizing routine with no redness or irritation the next morning!

Shea Butter smells lovely, has nice creamy texture

This scrub has a foil seal when you take off the cap, so you know it’s new and you don’t need to be worried about this leaking on other items in your order. Love that!! It’s hard for me to describe the scent of shea but I think this smells wonderful, it’s just kind of a generic warm and cozy vibe. If you like other shea hair/body products, I think you’d like the scent of this scrub. The consistency of this is halfway between a creamy whipped soap and a body scrub. I really like it! If you are looking for a super gritty, gravely exfoliant this is not the right type of product for you. I think this is best for anyone who likes to exfoliate often or has sensitive/delicate skin that doesn’t play well with very rough exfoliants. I appreciate that this rinses off so cleanly and easily! I like this product and will definitely use the whole jar.

Rich and creamy and you can feel the scrubbing

The appearance is more like a thick lotion. When you start using it it covers easily and that's when you can feel the granules working as you rub it around with your finger tips. The smell is light, not unpleasant. Kind of light perfumey I guess. After rinsing it off in the shower my skin didn't feel super soft or moisturized but after drying off I noticed it more. I like that it has raw shea butter and my personal preference is if you are going to buy and use a scrub you should be able to feel the gritty texture and I think the SheaMoisture does a good job balancing the two.
