Buy this!! 100/100 Rating for Ingredients!!!

I absolutely love this lotion. Smells great, so soft and smooth! I bought this lotion because I've been switching to cleaner, non-toxic products for myself and my family, and have gone through many bottles already. I recently downloaded the Yuka app, to scan the barcode of products in my home and see how safe or hazardous they are based on the ingredients. I was SHOCKED to find that the Vaseline Cocoa lotion I used for nearly 10 years has a 0 out of 100 rating due to hazardous ingredients such as petroleum and cyclotetrasiloxane. This app even goes into explaining why these ingredients are harmful (go download it now!). I was so so happy to scan my Shae Moisture lotion to find that it has a 100/100 rating - which was a VERY RARE SCORE among all of the products I scanned, even those marketed as cleaner, better options. My only minor complaint about this product is the bottle. Due to the thickness of this lotion (which I love), it's super hard to squeeze it out of the bottle. It really should come with a pump, and I think some of their lotions actually do, so I would really love to see this one come that way. Due to the safe and natural ingredients of this lotion, and their 100/100 rating, I will definitely continue to buy this and other Shae Moisture products.

Good lotion, needs better packaging

I love this lotion, but the label is literally rubbing off. It then gets all over me and I have ink or plastic pieces on my skin. The lotion may be perfect for sensitive skin, but the label sure isn’t.

Ammazing, and smells great

I love my shea moisture i use this black label one because it looks and smells more manly then the rest and i can't find the guys version. I love that it keeps me moisturized all day long and gives my skin a soft silky smooth feel. And it's great that all the shea moisture products are very healthy for hair and skin.

How to get it out of the bottle

Many of you have dissed this product because of difficulty getting it out of the bottle. Here’s what I do: I have several travel plastic jars which I keep around the house, in my car & in my purse. I put the bottle of “lotion” in the microwave for only a few seconds. It will literally pour out like a liquid making it easy to pour into my smaller containers & it firms up once it cools again. Be super careful not to microwave too long or the bottle will actually start to melt????

I learned of this product from the Yuka app. By scanning the barcode the app rates products based on toxic ingredients. I have very dry skin & learned that the lotions suggested by a Drs. were full of toxic chemicals . The app provides safer, healthier suggestions & I decided to try African Black Soap Lotion with Shea Butter. I immediately fell in love with this lotion! It has a wonderful, creamy texture that sooths the skin. The scent is good but very light. You could easily use this in a work place without bothering co-workers who may have sensitivities. I rarely write long reviews, but this product is well deserving of the time spent writing this one. I will only use this product moving forward.

Stumbled Onto at Grocer and IT WORKS on my FEET and HANDS

This Shea Mountain product works beautifully. The second ingredient is SHEA BUTTER. And that's all you need to know if you've got seriously dry skin. I use it on my feet before putting socks on for bed. In the Rocky Mountains, you need HEAVY moisture or your hands, heels and palms of your hands will dry up and crack. For me, glycerin is a disappointing ingredient in any moisturizer. It's in everything because it makes lotions spread but it also makes them shine. Unfortunately, this product shines. If it didn't I would buy it up by the case. Other Shea Mountain products usually have scents I am not a fan of but this one is subtle and easily tolerated. SHEA can smell really badly so you need a little natural scent in my opinion. It's CHEAP it WORKS and you get A LOT of product.

Traumhafte Pflege/Behälter unbrauchbar

Die Creme ist super! Für trockene Haut ein Traum. Der Duft ist pudrig mit einem Hauch Vanille, sehr angenehm. Hauptbestandteil ist ganz offensichtlich Sheabutter. Die Konsistenz ist cremigfest, reichhaltig aber nicht schmierig. Lässt sich erstaunlich gut verteilen. Hab sie jetzt seit einer Woche und meine ekzemgefährdete Haut reagiert zufrieden. Sie ist aber deffinitiv zu fest für den Behälter, eine absolute Fehletscheidung des Produzenten. Bei uns hats hier im Sommer schonmal 36-40 °C , die Creme wird davon aber nicht flüssiger. Einzige Lösung ist aufschneiden und umfüllen in einen Tiegel.

The sticker on the bottle fallen into pieces since day one. Not useful. The cream can’t go out from the bottle. It’s a bad container choice. I have sensitive & keratosis skin. The product makes my skin itchy. Be aware! Look at my pictures! I don’t recommend. Sorry!
