Fit like a mitten
The socks run large in my opinion. I bought the L and I’m a 45 EU. The sock isn’t snug at my foot and feels like it’s in a loose fitting bag. Definitely wouldn’t buy again for the fit alone.

An alternative to bringing waterproof boots.
Photography on the beach, especially at the Pacific Ocean, presents a bit of an issue. IT's always very cold! Does one bring an extra set of Wellies, or to save space, just bring a pair of Seaskinz and wear them with sandals! Cut the weight and bulk, and just bring a pair of Sealskinz!

Hey Sealskinz, does this look waterproof to you?
The media could not be loaded. Because it doesn’t look waterproof to me! I bought 3 pairs of Sealskinz socks. I wore one sock from each of 2 pairs (one knee length) on a short walk where I tested them in a clear cold river, worn inside trail running shoes, calf compression sleeves over the socks, gortex rain pants, short gators over the rain pants. I pretty quickly realized something was not right. I went deep enough to over top the mid length sock, so it was expected that sock would fill from the top, it did. Both socks were soaked inside when I returned to my truck, but the knee length one was dry above my ankle, and my calf was dry, so the water went through the sock portion inside the shoe. 2 days later I decided to test all 6 socks by turning them inside out and filling with water. Four socks had never been worn. Water depth/pressure would be the same as if stepping into water. Three out of 6 leaked, 2 of those had never been worn. See my photo and video. Dang, I really wanted these to work for a multi-day caving tour in Vietnam that involved a lot of wading and mud, making waterproof shoes a liability.

Waterproof, warm
I wore these backpacking 2 days and 1 night. Kept me warm and dry. First day was in the 40s°F, 2nd day was very low 30s°F (some ice on a puddle at 1:30pm). There were scattered sections of soupy mud and water, sometimes above my ankle and shoe (Merrel Nova2 GTX). I only felt a chill for a few moments. I tried to rinse off mud right away in clear water so my shoes would dry faster as I walked. I had my hiking pants tucked into the socks. These socks are a top-notch solution to hiking in wet stuff.

Weird seam
There is a seam that runs along right under the foot...doesn't feel right

Comfortable
Compared to the older generation of SEALSKINZ these are more comfortable. And have the same reliability as before. They have worked great in what they are supposed to do. Keep your feet from getting wet. If it is colder outside. I wear a pair of wool socks under them for added warmth. If you step in water above the top of the sock. Then you are going to get wet.

The Best Outdoor Clothing Item Ever
I wore my Sealskinz socks while on a visit to a remote Island in Uyak Bay off Kodiak Island, Alaska. They are warm, comfortable, and waterproof. They actually made me feel better just wearing them they fit so well. Socks are so important when it is wet and cold and I believe these are the best articles of outdoor clothing I have ever owned.

Fantastic product.
Took me a while to find these and they are amazing. Got in a few wet scrapes whilst hiking and these have saved the day. Completely waterproof. Excellent quality, warm and comfortable.

They work
They work, they will keep water out and are a game changer for day hikes. But they are not totally water-proof! Water can seep in through the top elastic during bad downpours or when walking through long wet grass. So you need to combine with gaiters and/or waterproof leggings to keep all the water out. Not the most comfortable socks in the world but doubt anyone would notice while hiking. You need to keep them clean or they lose breathability. They do take a while to dry so if you are doing a multiday excursion, you probably will notice a build up of sweat related dampness. I did a lot of damage to my feet walking last winter in the mountain snow and having soaking wet cold feet. Can't wait to use these this year. Additional note: If your shoes get soaked through and these socks get covered in water for a long period of time, your feet no longer breath, and will get wet from sweat. So use the proper equipment and/or empty out your shoes when you put a foot in the bog.

They work....but
They work. Have wore for over 3 years and never a leak. But! There is a strange phenomena that people should be aware of when buying. Humans can't directly sense water. They sense pressure and temperature and infer the sensation of water or liquid. When trekking through real wet ground in my leaky boots, and I am wearing the sealskinz socks, my feet actual feel quite wet. But when I take off the socks my feet are totally dry. In short, they keep your feet dry, but you can still feel like they are wet.

100% water proof
First time I have bought / worn thaws socks in my life, I spend a lot of my time on the allotment, the boots I wear are very comfortable but not waterproof, someone suggested to me to buy some sealskinz socks, waterproof, comfortable and warm they said, they were telling the truth, after a day of being on the allotment my boots at soaking, but I now don’t realise that, my feet are warm and stay dry all day.. will definitely be buying more
