Honest Review from someone w/ THICK CURLY HAIR

I have been purchasing these for a while now, I simply adore them so much. I hve thick, curly (3a) hair. They hold up my curls nicely and grasp it enough to last hours. They are very useful to properly get my CURLY thick hair out of my face. However, they don't last long. Its an amazing prize for both, but they last around 3-5 months and you're done; they break/snap and you see in the picture. This is because I use it a lot, and open them wide to grab all of my hair properly. The plastic in the inner part is fragile, not the rest of the claw clip. I love these, too much to have bought multiple despite knowing they dont last long. I wish I could find a bigger and durable option

Small but good

They have grippers that help them stay in the hair. They are smaller than others I have so they don't hold all of my hair, maybe someone with thin hair? They are nice for pulling back half of the hair

Great for heavy thick hair

Good grip and large enough for long thick hair. Unfortunately no more durable than the others when you drop them on the floor repeatedly.

Holds a lot of hair

I have long thick curly hair. I used the clip to put my hair in a bun and then took a spin class. The clip kept my hair in place the entire class.

Grip your hair together

What I like about this product is that it has this plastic silicone like piece on the inside that holds your hair in. I'm not a huge fan with the handles being so flat, it's a little hard to open but I do like the clip.

Smaller than expected, but still good quality clips

These are not the large clips that I purchased from this listing a couple of years ago, but that was my mistake for re-ordering without double checking, assuming that it would be the same hair clips. These are about 3" wide, while the large ones are about 4". Although smaller, I still like them as they are made of the softer plastic with some flex and won't break the minute you drop them on a hard surface. These are not the cheap hard brittle plastic clips that tend to break easily. I will keep them for when I clip less hair.

They Get the Job Done, but Not Very Durable

I’ve used these clips almost daily since I got them, and today one of them finally gave out completely. They hold the hair, though I really didn’t care for the grip strips on the inside; it felt like they were pulling on the hairs at times. I’m not sure if I’ll order them again, but they are a decent product for what I paid.

Not What Expected - Cheap Quality

I have an older amazing Octopus clip I bought at the Dollarama which was a clear-out from a US company and I have been on a mission to find a similar one since.... These are definitely not. I find these very cheap and I'm actually surprised by all the reviews by people with thick hair saying how great these are. I have long hair (mid-back) that is on a thicker side but not super thick and these barely hold my hair and they just feel cheap overall. When opening, it feel like the cheap spring will break quickly. And I have to squeeze the clip to get a tighter fit which I've never had to do with my other hair clips.

Curls are happy

I had been looking for a ‘small’ hair clip to be able to clip up my curly hair at the top, like a little bump from the 90’s you know.. well this is too big for that FYI. But it’s perfect for everything for everything else! Especially for my curly hair. Great quality, light, has this rubber on the inside which I have never seen. Stays in hair all day and super comfortable. Very happy with purchase. Posted pics of all ways I wear it. I would classify this as a good everyday comfortable hair clip.

Not the best for thin clean hair.

I have thin hair and i wash my hair every day. These feel out within minutes. They have a rubber liner to help grip, but it started pulling off after a few days. Not worth the money.

Love these.

Very impressed with how well this clip holds up my long thick hair. If you leave it in long enough on slightly damp or moussed hair it also leaves in gentle waves without heat. The ends of the claw side are also a little bit flexible so they don't snag my hair much.
