Very good, economical, but a bit thin

I recently received my first rolls of Scotch Recycled Corrugate Box Sealing Tape. I usually tape up boxes with something likeScotch Long Lasting Moving & Storage Packaging Tape, 1.88 Inches x 54.6 Yards but gave this product a try since it's longer than a typical roll of Scotch tape (100m vs. 54m) and reasonably priced. Pros: - Economical, 100m roll - Adhesive is very sticky, no problems so far with tape peeling off Cons: - Tape is a bit thin, sometimes rips funny while dispensing - Larger roll just fits in my current tape dispenser Overall, I guess that the two cons are acceptable given the length of the tape, so while Scotch Recycled Corrugate Box Sealing Tape isn't perfect I will be buying it again when my current rolls run out. (Note: I have bought it again since I wrote this review and will continue to do so. I've found the rolls just fit on theScotch® Packaging Tape Hand Dispenser DP300-RD .) Edit 05/09/13 - this tape was a fair deal at $4.50 per roll when I bought it - not so much at the $10.70 it is selling for today! (The price for a 36-count case is an amazing $2.10 per roll, but I really don't need 36 rolls of this sitting around.) Make sure and check prices before buying.

Good quality tape. I use it for shipping.

I occasionally have to ship boxes, and, rather than buying new ones, I always try to reuse boxes I receive stuff in. If boxes have any brand markings like Amazon's boxes do, I turn the box inside out when I use it to ship my items. This tape is great for shipping, and it holds reused boxes very well. One other tape brand I used had a problem sticking well to the box's surface unless the surface was like new, but this tape sticks well even if there is some dust or cardboard fibers on the surface. The tape roll fits the dispenser perfectly. Overall, this tape is perfect for my use.

It is sticky and works

It is a bit thicker than the original product. That can be a help when applying it actually. Although, it takes a bit of work to get it to conform to the fold/surface as well. I am happy with the product and would repeat the purchase.

Great Value

The reason for the five stars is that this is exactly what I wanted. It is not of great strength. I use it to reinforce the boxes I fill with donations. It will hold long enough. The last roll of this same tape lasted over 15 years. I also bought the next stronger tape for items to put in my attic since I reside in an extremely humid area. For my intensions this tape is as inexpensive as they come and does a good job.

no big deal

dollar store is easier..unless you need to make up your total of $35 bucks..what a joke that is... guess the share holders want a higher profit..stock market is a joke perpetrated on the public, but what do they know..they were bore to be fleeced.

Not recycled material

The tape is not made from recycled material, it has (so the manufacturer says) special glue on the tape that is designed to work on boxes that are made of recycled cardboard. Recycled or not, the tape works great.

The tape basically stuck to the cartons..which is why I bought it, as I was reading that alot of the tapes do not stick to the cartons sold by Home Depot and Loews.
