Great addition to paint supplies

I recently started the project of painting the interior of my whole house. I bought this tool to help with the taping off since that part is a giant pain. This tool was very helpful with that. It helps keep your paint tape line straight and flush with the wall. I didn't give this tool 4 stars because nothing is perfect, and it only works for one tape size. Also, if working on a project by yourself because painters tape isn't super "sticky" you have to pull some of off, push down so it sticks, then pull. If you pull to fast the tape comes off the wall and you gotta start over.

Better then expected.

When I ordered tgis product I was skeptical about it just being another fad type of item but after the first time I used it I was shocked about how easy, smoothly and accurately this little tape dispenser actually was. Get the tape started lay dispenser flat on floor, trim or wall depending on your project and as long as you keep it flat against the surface it keeps a tight and consistent line even when goong around areas like door jambs. So gar this has at least cut my tape off time in half and as I use it more continue to learn new ways and tricks that make it even better.

Pros and Cons of Masking Tape Tool

Pros: Investing a few dollars up front can save you from a lot of pain in the long run. This product is truly amazing! It's difficult to describe, so I urge you to try it out for yourself. The application process is more efficient and much easier to handle. Refilling the product is also a breeze. This product is the perfect size for working around woodwork and trim. It's particularly useful for creating straight cuts when masking a cottage-style cabinet door. It allows for precise application of masking tape in corners and against indoor window trim. Cons: The masking tape cutter is only effective on soft surfaces. Attempting to use it on drywall may result in gouges or small perforations. Unfortunately, the cutter is not very useful on hard surfaces like metal, glass, or even hard plastic.

It is working excellent, do the job right at the first time, easy to use.

I tried few tools that supposed to do the same job, without success and more expensive but I decided try one more time with this one and for my surprise this is the one, because it’s easy to use and do excellent job anywhere I need, definitely it got my 5 stars and I recommend.

Taping base boards was a breeze

Taping a room off was a breeze with this. Bought a 12 pack roll refills. Even had the Old Hag taping off base boards!

Another gimmick

Rip off delivery charges more than doubled cost of item, and delivery wasn’t quick either. As for the actual item, the tape it is supplied with is rubbish, and was hard to apply tape neatly, don’t waste your money

It's not perfectly flush against the wall but so close

I was really hoping that this was gonna be a miracle unit to allow me to get super tight tape lines against the surface but it didn't quite meet it but it does come very very close compared to other products that I've used I do find the unit to be a little overpriced given that it's a couple pieces of plastic but it did save me time and worked as a good tape holster the other key to this product is to make sure that you use good tape not that cheap dollar a roll garbage my suggestion is due by the unit but you're gonna have to practice with it a little first to understand how to get it really tight to the wall which eventually I was able to do

Helps

The tool is not super duper, but it does help when using tape a lot. I mostly like that it cuts the end with a metal ridge, but it is little awkward to use. Still better than the roll of tape alone in my opinion in that you always have a sticky bit exposed when starting a new strand. I hate fiddling about with a new piece!

Works Great!

2 down sides. 1 it only takes 1 size tape which kinda sucks and 2 it has a some material on the end to make is slide easier but after using it on my trim those materials started to come up an wouldn’t glide as much do to how it’s put on can’t take it off clean.

Makes the job easier

Such a simple gadget, but makes the masking job so much easier. No more ripping off tape or trying to find the end. Also tears off square, so corners are easily masked. Save time and tape … works for me.
