These are a little light weight for my preference and only single layer mesh but the first one proved durable and comfortable.

A great pair of athletic shorts

These are my all time favorite shorts. Great for working out or lounging around. The color assortment is good too. I would recommend these shorts 100 times over. These are my standard go to athletic shorts. Shorts have pockets and double lining but lightweight perfect for being active.

Exactly what I was looking for

These shorts may not be what you're looking for but they are exactly what I wanted. They are constructed in two layers. The outer layer is similar to a football jersey. The inner layer is a fine knit mesh. The two layers are only attached to each other at the seams and hems. There is no "liner" like one would typically find in swim trunks. There are two side slash pockets. The waistband elastic is wide and comfortable. I am 6 feet tall, 245 pounds and wear 38 waist jeans. Size L in these shorts fit perfectly. There is a drawstring cord but I don't need to use it. The hem is right at the top of my kneecap, similar to the model in the Amazon picture. They dry while wearing very quickly. Just enough stretch to allow unrestricted movement.
