One caution....
Highly recommended! I like this product a great deal; I've had good success with it, even against cat urine. I will add that I use this cleaning detergent in B*ss*ll machines instead of their own brand name cleaning solution and I've never had a problem, even after several years. Without a side by side test I can't strongly claim this product is markedly better than theirs, but I believe I get better results. The real topping point for me is that I can't stand the smell of B***l"s brand name cleaning solution, even after it dries. I do like the scent in this one. I do want to caution everyone out there to NEVER mix different brands or types of cleaning solutions unless they are marked compatible. Mixing the wrong ones together could result in a dangerous chemical reaction. If you are switching from one brand to another make sure you fully flush the system before adding the new product. Since I prefer this one, this is the one I always use. That way I avoid any potential chemical interactions from the start. I suppose it is possible that some materials in some machines-- developed for a particular product's use other than this one, MIGHT react to an alternative cleaning solution, but it's highly unlikely. Also, like with any of these products, unless you frequently use your machine you should empty any remaining solution then flush the system with fresh water. If you let it sit it could eventually clog your machine as the water in the cleaning solution evaporates-- potentially affecting its functioning or permanently damaging your machine as any residue builds up. Overall a very happy customer.

Works as a Traffic Lane Cleaner As Well
Did a great job with my Rug Doctor Carpet cleaner. I don't use this as the label indicates, but rather as a traffic lane cleaner which I prespray, and I don't add any chems to the cpt cleaner but use straight hot tap water as a "rinse". I plan on several cleanings since the carpet has been soiled with use and previous cleanings. But each cleaning so far (2) have resulted in black waste water, so I know I'm getting out the dirt. Re: Complaints about removal of pet urine. When I did professionally cleaning, I used a needle and syringe to inject pet urine neutralizer into the carpet, the foam and down to the floor. Still required several applications, and in very severe situations, repeated use of the same spot by the pet, had to pull up the carpet there and treat each layer repeatedly. Rug Doctor does offer a pet ordor removal chem but I don't know how it works. The professional chems are more powerful, require special handling, but are much more powerful than any consumer products. So most commercial products required repeated use.
