I needed more of these in this size. Makes sense to just buy the sizes I need, instead of purchasing the whole set from a local store. Especially when that set comes with too many little bitty, useless bowls!

5-Cup Food Storage Containers- stackable with Red Lids

I like these vent able 5-cup food storage containers because the volume equals two soup bowlfuls. They are nest able when empty with the lids snapping together. When filled with food will easily stack on each other for convivence of saving space. Can be reheated in the microwave up to boiling but not for sustaining heat for cooking. Great for left over food storage for future heating.

These are a great size for taking lunch to work or storing leftovers. They wash well in the dishwasher and don't seem to stain.

Sturdy & stain resistant

The Rubbermaid 5 c. container with easy find vented lids are holding up well in our commercial dishwasher! Very pleased with our purchase.

LOVE the steam Chimney!

This container is excellent...if I could I would give it 20 stars. It is thick and sturdy (as all Rubbermaid products seem to be). And, the lid fits my other Rubbermaid containers I already own...some of them are deeper containers that hold a lot more but the top is the same size and this lid fits them! The lid is the important part of this set...it has a steam chimney. Till now we have pulled lids off when heating fiuids and home made tomato sauces so they don't warp and left the lids sitting loosely over the container but not snapped on properly while we heat in the microwave. This has several issues for me...for one it does not completely reduce splatter to leave the lid sitting on top unsnapped to prevent warping of the lid and bowl. Two, it is DANGEROUS to not have a lid snapped on and pull boiling liquids from the microwave and could cause serious burns. Three, not having a lid snapped on tight causes the food to cool down too quickly. SOOOOOO...this vent lid that fits pretty much all my Rubbermaid bowls is absolutely perfect for keeping the microwave clean, for safety and for keeping food hot longer. I LOVE THIS, what a great innovation! LOVE LOVE LOVE my Rubbermaid chimney top lid.

Love these containers!

I own several different shapes and sizes of this line of containers, and I love them all. The stackable design makes the lids easy to keep organized, and the containers are very sturdy and hold up to freezing and microwaving. They do stain from tomato sauce, but I've never met a clear container that doesn't, and they are otherwise easy to clean. I love them for storing leftovers in the fridge or freezer, and they also travel well - I've tossed them in lunch bags and backpacks over the last six months, and haven't had a leak yet. Would happily buy again!

I like rubbermaid (easy find lid) storage containers. You can see whats in them, no leaks, lids go together for easy storage. This is a great size.

Great freezer friendly container

I purchased this for storing homemade ice cream because the containers that are specifically made for ice cream are overpriced. This works really well for me in freezer and my ice cream does not form ice crystals. The lid is sturdy and has not snapped or cracked, unlike some ice cream containers. All in all, the container is affordable, sturdy and low maintenance. Will be buying more of these for sure
