Very Useful Food Storage Containers In Multiple Large Sizes

Rubbermaid's storage containers are great for everyday food storage in the fridge/freezer. You can store things like a large batch of cookies, to chicken stock, to leftover turkey, depending on the size(s) you buy. These containers can be used to store hot or cold products. The lid, which is sold separately (see below), fits just right, but isn't air-tight, but it's not advertised as such. You *could* stack these up, but there aren't any grooves on the top of the lids to align it with other containers, so I presume they aren't made for stacking. Let's say you have a large batch of soup on top of another container, and as you're getting it out, it accidentally slips, that's one big mess to clean up. Use common sense if you decide to stack. When you aren't using these they can nest within each other so they won't take up much space. While the lids cost a bit, the total price for a container and lid is comparable to other storage units. Works fine for my needs

I keep a container of hot soapy water in my sink so I can clean or wipe anything as I work in the kitchen. Letting everything pile up & fill the sink with hot soapy water and washing it all at one time doesn't work for me. Don't like my counters cluttered or my sink piled with dishes or pots & pans. This size container works perfect for me & it doesn't come with a lid, whichI don't need for my use.

Love this product! Wish I could get more!

I am an elementary teacher and this is the perfect water bowl for painting. It is sturdy enough for the 500 kids using it every week. It is cylindrical so it won't wobble like tapered bowls. It is wide so it won't tip like taller water cups. It is deep enough to hold enough water that they won't need to refill often. It is easy to clean and stackable. Perfection. One problem: I have 12 tables in my classroom and the seller puts a quantity limit of 10. I had to get a friend to buy some for me so I could have enough.

Works Great for a Dough-Rising Bucket!

Great container to hold a small batch of sourdough dough while it is rising! I needed one that was guaranteed to be BPA-Free, and this is it! My only suggestion would be to have a lid actually come with the bucket instead of having to purchase it separately.

GREAT FOR STACKING

I've microwaved food in similar Rubbermaid containers for about 8 years. I stew veggies, beans, and soup inside these things and they're easy for me to clean. I needed to replace one of the old bowls that I damaged by letting it sit in bleach for too long. Apparently Rubbermaid no longer makes the one that I spoiled. What I like about this 2 quart FG572024CLR model: If you check the website display carefully, you'll see a couple of vertical catches that sit at each end of the respective handles. They act as stops, preventing the bowl from ever getting stuck inside another similar bowl. So, if you like to stack one bowl inside the other, you'll probably never have to struggle to separate them. The downside is that, unlike my previous bowls, this bowl doesn't come with a lid. The cover is sold separately. I did without it since I seldom use lids. When the bowl goes in the fridge, I prefer to cover it with aluminum or a plate that I can easily slip on and off.

Seriously, no lid?

Maybe I didn't read the description thoroughly enough, but I saw a lid in the photos, so assumed it came with one. And the lid is more expensive than the container. Do not recommend.
