I bought Ropers from a Western store and they were wider and the top of the shoe did not come up on the foot as far. Don't know why there is such a difference.

SO COMFORTABLE

Well made, very comfortable, I ordered a half size up and they are perfect. Wore them 9 hours the first day, no problems at all, actually forgot I was wearing new shoes.

Comfort, Safety, and works with business slacks in the snow and ice.

This is my 4th or 5th pair, or, maybe, I have lost count. I wear these Roper shoes with slacks and business attire every winter when there is snow and ice. They are stable, yet passably attractive enough to not be as distracting as my lace up snow boots. They are also reasonably water resistant, warm and comfortable.

They look good with jeans

I have been wanting a pair of these shoes for a long time. When I got these, I was working at a pork production plant, and needed something with aggressive traction. Everything I had worn there I would slip and slide. These fit the bill, no more slippery slide. They look good with jeans, and are not as flashy as the ones at the Western store that are only a print anyway. One reviewer said that they are tight around the top, and in fact they are- not uncomfortably though. I have regular feet and wear regular socks. The toe toebox is slightly wide, but your feet don't slop around in them. I think they are great for the price and quality.

Comfy

Looks like cowboy boots but aren't. I needed something to wear in the winter so I wouldn't slip on ice. But I usually wear cowboy boots so wanted something that looked similar. I wear jeans everyday. We're tight on the top but just took a few weeks to break in. Super comfy now!

Very Comfy

These shoes are well made and look great with jeans. I ordered my normal size and was happy that they had a roomy toe box to accommodate my bunions. Walked all day in them and no discomfort. Great bare foot or with socks.

Great for sore feet!

My favourite shoes! Comfortable and worth the money and than some. I got a second pair. They also help my arthritis and foot pain.
