Great Lace and Terrific Lacing Tool
These lacing kits are great for most repairs and in many cases they contain enough lace to do an entire glove. The Rawlings (Tanner's) laces are very sturdy and the range of colors allows for almost unlimited customization of your glove. But I primarily order these kits to get the u-wire lacing tool that comes with them. It's great for getting laces into smaller holes or when running two strands of lace through a single hole. They will usually bend a bit as you work them through, but you can easily bend these wires back into shape. However you don't have the problem of laces popping out like you do with the perm-a-lock needles. And they are especially useful with 1/4" lace which can sometimes be a bear to work through webbing and smaller holes. A trick I like to use when threading the wire is to trim the corners around the hole after I insert the u-wire (see photo). This allows the lace to be pulled more easily through tight areas.

Great Product, Colors Not True to Life
We ordered this thinking about replacing the laces on my son's black glove to purple since that's his team color. We were expecting a more vibrant purple, but ours came pretty dark, especially once the glove was oiled. It's hard to tell the purple isn't black at this point. Laces themselves are great quality, and we had plenty of lacing to do a 11.5" glove. Do note that you will need a glove re-lacing tool to get this done. I'm sure you could do it with the tool they provide, but it would be a tough chore.

Great laces, not great tool
The laces are great and were enough to replace my son's infielder glove. I took off 1 star cause I didn't like the tool that came with it. The other tool, that pulls laces, is better for relacing, in my opinion.

Rawlings lace
The leather lace is very good quality. The needle they give is not that good for ball gloves.

Looks great, strong and easy to use.
Used to re-lace a 20+ year old hand me down fielder's glove that I have to my daughter when she started paying softball. The glove looks great with the new purple accents. Lots of lace left for any emergency repairs if needed.

Relaced my old baseball glove from 1980. The rawhide is really good quality and was nice and flexible which made relacing my glove easy to do. The needle the kit came with made it pretty easy to relace. Will use the extra lace to do my other glove.
