girthy Men- Low Rise, otherwise, great.

They are great shorts, as are all of Propper's wearable gear. Be aware, though, larger guys. These have a really low rise. So, if you are girthy and try to pull them up over to your natural waist you may have some trouble because they will only go so high.

Pleasantly surprised

I was a little nervous when ordering these because I’m very particular about how I like my shorts to fit I don’t like super short shorts or super long shorts if it way below the knee there’s a sweet spot where it’s right at midnight and that’s where the shorts fall which is perfect for me materials good material as is all of the proper products materials nice and light these are easily my new favorite pair of shorts

The overwhelming dampness

The bad: fierce swamp crotch. These shorts do NOT breathe at all. The good: good pocket layout overall, but I had to cut out the mini pocket inside the right pocket because my phone kept hanging on it. Also no Velcro which I like.

Ripstop material but still light weight

Exactly what I was looking for while on duty. Just a little snug in lower hips/ upper thigh area but nothing to bad

By far the best summer weight shorts I’ve worn. Super light weight durable feel. Deep front pockets. Features a slider waistband at this price point is an added bonus. The knife reinforcements durability looks suspect. Only time will tell. I highly recommend these shorts.

Something different

Topping the list of things you must know is that these are work shorts. What does that mean? It sounds like a conflict in terms that a clothing item normally associated with leisure would be described as something to be worn for work but there are a lot of guys who regularly wear shorts for work. Think UPS driver for example. In practical terms there are several differences that define what separates leisure shorts from these. Of course the most obvious is the toughness of the fabric. These shorts somehow manage to be rugged yet thin and comfortable. Another thing you'll notice is an abundance of adequate pockets for work stuff like scanners, access keys, ID's, etc. Sure cargo shorts have a lot of pockets but who has actually worn those since the 1980's? These are a little longer than my usual preference (I'm fully on board with the current trend of shorter shorts). And they're looser in the crotch and rear. These are 100% polyester to make them waterproof and stain-proof, an obvious advantage in some trades. There are several things that are usual with these, perhaps the fabric is the most unusual. At first glance they look like a thin summer weight linen or gabardine but look closer and you will see the integral mesh to prevent tearing. Also note the shirt gabbing waistband inner stripes, the snap closure and the heavy duty nylon fly with tug tab. While these are well made for their intended use for me they aren't my choice to wear every day so I'll probably use them mostly for home improvement projects. For that reason I like them and recommend them.
