Widow works like new
Balances screwed into place exactly where the old balances came out. Replace them in pairs. Pull out the cable and hold out with pair of vice grips. Turn the window upside down. This makes attaching the cables to the window fairly easy. After attaching the cables, turn the window right side up and carefully release the vice grips. Each balance came with a pair of flat springs to add little resistance when raising and lowering the window. These two 8 lb balances wouldn't quite hold my 14 lb window. With the flat springs nailed in place, the window worked perfectly.

Refurbished old double pull wood windows painted shut. This item works great to ease the opening and closing of the old sash windows. Very fast delivery

Be sure you get the right weight balance. If your window has only one balance, but sure to install the spring steel alignment strips per instructions

Hard to find in stores and when you do the price is usually higher. Great product as it fits exactly where the old one did.
