Soft, easy to use, and affordable
This is my go-to velvet yarn brand now. I just got my order of a darker red velvety yarn skein today to make a hat. I bought just one to start with because I hadn’t heard of this brand and don’t know what it would be like to use, or what it feels and looks like in person. It arrived this afternoon and the amount I get is great for the price. Not only that but this is sturdy yarn for the soft velvet material it has. I have used a different brand of a silky, velvet martial and the velvet material was sloughing off when being handled. And if I were to pull on that yarn to secure down, it would just melt off into pieces. So this yarn, as sturdy and none sloughing it is where I can cinch down on it without it falling apart, is wonderful. That is why it is my go-to velvet soft yarn to use from now on. And hey, I even had left over yarn to where I can make another hat. Even better! And for reference, the hat I made is 18 inches around and 12.5 inches in height. I just have the edges curled up. I also used a 5.25mm crochet hook (not the one pictured - that one is my 6.50mm hook). Happy crocheting (or knitting)!

This yarn is so soft, it works up beautifully and the skeins are 9.5 oz. Well worth the money. I'm a new fan of this brand!

I use this yarn to make Scrunchies and I prefer the texture of it compared to Bernat Velvet yarn.
