Good feeder.
Some reviewers say it doesn’t feed and leaks around cap. Liquid will only be about 1/4 inch deep in bottom and will not feed until level gets lower than 1/8 inch. This level is far below the cap to base seat so there’s no way it leaks here unless you tip it to feed liquid into base and over fill it. To verify, fill the jar with water, attach to base without cap, set it on level surface (counter top by sink), put edge of folded paper towel into water in base and let it wick the water out. Water will feed in when base is almost empty. Yes the birds can reach the low level liquid. I have two of these feeders and have done this with both after reading one star reviews.

Great hummingbird feeder
I purchased this feeder to replace one just like it, only difference is that this one is even better. The flowers on this one is easier to clean. You may want to attach another ant moat because the top of this feeder doesn’t hold much water. Other than that, it’s perfect. I highly recommend this feeder.

Perfect feeder!
Love this feeder. It’s substantial glass and easy to clean. It doesn’t leak and has a water well to deter ants. This is my second one of these and I’m very happy with them.

Nice
Our hummingbirds seem to like this one. I like the delivery system because the bugs and wasps from feeding. Will hold a lot of sugar water.

Hummingbirds love this!!
The hummingbirds love this feeder. It holds a lot of syrup and they have a little place to rest while they dine. There's a little plastic loop at the top of the feeder and it didn't take that long to break in the hot Arizona sun. My husband drilled a couple of holes in the top plastic piece and ran a wire and it's fine. I've purchased a couple of these and are still very pleased with it.

Water for other birds!
Like the Hummingbird feeder, the problem I have is that the top does hold water were it hangs on the hook. The other larger birds not hummers, come and sit on feeder on top to drink the rain water. LOL

Poor Feeder Ant Control Design
I like most most features of my two Perky-Pet feeders. We bought two to replace two similar & large feeders. The problem with these feeders is the design as to how they manage ant access. The water moat in the hanging cap is an innovative feature but the capacity of the moat/cap is grossly inadequate! The previous two identical (non-Perky-Pet) hour-glass style and glass feeders I had with a simple and similar threaded hanging cap did not have an ant moat and we had never had an ant problem in about 3 years of service! In the case of the Perky Pet 209B the ants swarmed over one of feeders the first night. Admittedly, we had not filled the ant moat. After throwing out the nectar and cleaning out the infestation of ants, we refilled the feeder and put water in the moat. The tiny moat worked - for a while - as we watched the ants approach the water, turn back and did not reach the nectar. However, by the morning the moat was dry from the 40 degree C overnight temperatures and the ants were all over and inside the feeder! To now have to add water to the moat twice a day is impractical and the design is woefully inadequate! A much larger capacity hanging cap/moat would better discourage ant infestations! After spending $56.00 for two Perky-Pet feeders I don’t feel I should have to shell out a further $40.00 for additional large capacity ant moats available in the market when a better design would solve the problem!! I’d like to hear from Perky-Pet as to why they promote their built-in ant moat so actively when it is simply doesn’t work worth a damn!! Don

Very large feeder
The feeder is quite large and because of the large size the smaller hummingbirds can not get nectar while sitting on the perch, they have to hover. I hesitate to fill the feeder completely because of the time it would take for the hummingbirds to empty it. The hook that comes with the feeder is not very sturdy for the size of the feeder. The design is good but a smaller scale would work better in my opinion.

Came wrapped with packing tape all over the perches and the glass!!!! Cannot remove all residue!
This is a nice feeder. I like the glass and plastic. However, whoever wrapped it used packing tape all over the actual feeder, especially the little perches - totally unnecessary. All they had to do was use the bubble wrap (which they did use) and just put packing tape around the whole of the bubble wrap. Why they chose to put it (actually wind it around) on the feeder is ridiculous. I cannot get it all off as the perches are fragile. I am not happy!!!!!

Back to the drawing board.
I have an older narrow neck version of this feeder, the one with the base that can't be disassembled for cleaning. I've cleaned mold from it for some time with bleach and that works fine. It also has a solid cap with a knotted wire to hang it from a hook. And finally, if flipped and kept vertical, it doesn't leak. This newer version does come apart for easier cleaning, but that design change seems to have left it very susceptible to leaking. So, this current version fails in two respects: 1. The wide opening is easier to clean, but when inverted, it allows air to more easily enter the glass reservoir, causing too much solution to enter the feeding chamber and overflow. 2. The rim in the feeding chamber is too low to contain this extra solution, so to fix this (as suggested by "Lady Blue") wrap one of those very wide elastics (that come with broccoli or asparagus) around the rim of the feeding tray, with just a little bit of the elastic above the rim to provide a seal. Ingenious, and it works well! Photo attached. 3. Finally, and perhaps most critical, is the attachment yoke on the top cap is thin plastic, weakened by the point where the molten plastic is injected to make the part, or where a vent allows the air to escape during molding. With a full feeder and some wind swinging this about, this loop is screaming "fail point". The feeder also comes with an "S" hook to attach it to the suspended chain it hangs on. But unlike the original stiff wire, this "S" hook requires a lot of farting around to hook it up. In attempting to do this, more than likely the feeder will be tilted to one side or the other and it will leak. No wonder there are all those comments about leaking. Once up and hanging, it doesn't leak. Solution: Why not go back to the sturdy original cap with a hole in it and a knotted wire end to secure it with a loop on the other end to easily hook it onto the hanging chain? To make this work, I made yoke from a flexible polyethylene washer to fit inside the opening below the plastic hanging loop, then used some 14 gauge household electrical wire to secure it up into the underside of the cap and made a loop on the top to easily attach it to the chain it hangs from. It's very secure, the feeder can be maintained in a vertical position while reinstalling it, and the weight of a full feeder is spread evenly under the thick cap structure. Photos attached

Disappointing - the babies need to fly to feed...not good.
The smallest birds are unable to stand and drink. They must hover to be able to feed, burning precious energy. The perches are too far from the holes. The two photos show a small bird feeding while hovering and a slightly larger bird feeding while standing on the perch. One the positive side, it did not leak..but it's going back.
