Comes with multiple tries

One thing I was concerned about was that the set would only come with one try for stamping (because nothing works the first time when it comes to babies and new parents and ink), but thankfully it came with four papers in total. The papers given to make prints on are (as far as I can tell) regular printer paper and came slightly bent. I would have preferred a higher quality, stiffer, better packaged for shipping paper for the prints. Of course, you could always substitute your own paper, but I think the product would be greatly improved by improving the paper. My other concern buying this product was that the ink pad would not work. The ink pad did work very well. It did not ink where we didn't press on it, and it was still good when we went through six different stamping tries. The instructions were very clear; there was a warning on one side to keep you from inking the wrong direction. There was no mess and I was not disappointed at all with this part.

Needed a few extra steps, but still worth it

The frame itself is very nice. It's smooth and has the distressed look to it, which I like. Using the ink pad was not as easy as it was made to seem. After pressing my baby's foot or hand down on the ink onto the paper, her print would be left behind, but there were also additional ink marks as well, no matter how carefully we removed her from the pad. We tried multiple times and still had same issue. Finally we "cheated the system" and used a little white-out to cover the stray marks, photocopied the new flawless print onto cardstock, and lastly cut the paper down. It added a few extra steps, but it was still simple and seemed to be the only way we would get a handprint/footprint like the stock photos. In the end, we were still pleased with product, which is being presented as a gift to her godparents.

definitely a keepsake!

My daughter did not receive footprints ???? when she was born! So I wanted to create that memory, I ordered this kit off amazon and framed it! She’s a year old now and we still have it

Ruined ink pad

5 stars for the frame alone. The frame is perfect but I am highly disappointed that the ink pad was ruined by the way they packaged it. Seems like someone pressed on the casing that holds it and completely ruined the ink. Thankfully I bought an extra ink pad from pearhead that came in perfect condition and the cards for the print itself are better than the ones the frame came with, the frame came with paper, as the separate ink pad I bought came with actual card stock. I will say buy the frame but buy an extra ink pad or two. The one pearhead sells only comes with two cards and with an infant you’ll need more if you can’t get the perfect one on the first try. I provided pictures of the ruined ink pad and a picture of the separate one I bought

Missing ink and folded paper

Missing ink pad and paper came all wrinkled. Also ordered the same color and design as last time and did not come the same as before they do not match in shade.

Purchased this for a soon the be mother. She was more than ecstatic. Worth the money for a small meaningful gift.

Very cute if you get it right the first time!

Cute frame hanging in my baby’s nursery! Didn’t give 5 stars cause the wood frame is kind of cheap and slivery. The wood chips kept falling on the white paper and I had to keep opening the frame and blowing them off. And the ink pad isn’t a pad at all its a one time use paper with ink on it. So make sure you get it right the first time you open it or it’ll dry out.

Super cute, works perfectly for a newborn but ink pad is too small for a one year old so you can't get a full print.

So cute!

Turned out super cute! Very happy with it. I do wish they gave more ink because its almost impossible to keep a wiggly baby still to get a good print. Luckily i did but can see where some parents might have difficulties. It says only for newborns and the ink pad is super small but i did manage to get good prints with my 6 month old so it does work. I just couldnt spread my sons fingers apart. They had to be together.
