Beautiful and Big

I wanted to give this 5 stars, but some minor imperfections prevented that. There is a 3 inch scratch on the second panel, and some paint smudged on the same second panel. The folds, (not real hinges) aren't great, but work. Not bad, but 4 star quality. I have to say that it was well packaged. It is very large. It is actual gold leaf. But the painting is mostly stenciled on. You can tell that details were hand painted. That said, for the price it is really beautiful. I am happy with it. It should be in my family's possession for a long time. I would recommend.

Beautiful product - poor quality control

We bought this item, returned it and replaced it, then ultimately returned it again.. First, the picture is beautiful; enough to dazzle the senses. However upon unpacking it the following was noted: 1) The gold leaf was rubbed off on all the inner edges due to friction with the packing material. This was evident on all four panels; 2) The frame supports for each panel showed through and left physical - horizontal lines on each panel. In fact, if you look closely at the display picture here you can see these lines. The horizontal frame supports could have been slightly smaller than the frame so they wouldn't affect the picture. Ultimately we returned both because of these two issues.

Beautiful but should be checked for bad flaws before shipping

The price magnificent and the reproduction very beautiful. Only one problem. There were slight flaws that I would ignore as You can't beat the price! You get what you pay for. However, the biggest flaw. The Silk fabric on the 2nd screen had a bubble or pucker about 7 inches long. It was Quite bad and could not be ignored. It would help if Amazon would open the box for these large items to see if there are any major flaws. Unfortunately, I had to send back. I hope they don't send back out to someone wit this flaw . If they do, they should discount and disclose the flaw. I am going to find this item out there in Web land and buy again.
