When you've got to hang the heavy mirror

I purchased the OOK 50674 Professional Picture Hangers, Art Hangers, Padded, Brass, Reusable Picture Hooks to hang a 50 lbs. mirror in the hall. The hooks hold a lot of weight for their relatively small size and ease of installation. If you are installing both hooks to hang one item, take the time to measure twice and use a level to ensure that the hooks line up before hanging an object.

Not what they used to be

The 30 pound hangers I received were much lower quality than I've seen in previous orders. The two issues I found are that the nails are much larger than they had been, now the size of an ordinary (and much less expensive ) nails, so the "tiny holes" they leave in the wall aren't so tiny anymore. And the second issue is that most of the collars that hold the nails in the hooks are moderately to very loose, wobbly enough so that I ended up setting the collars with a 5/32" punch. (wear eye protection if you take this approach). Bottom line, they are way overpriced for the quality and features they have now. I'll be looking elsewhere the next time I need more hangers. And third, how are they "padded"? I didn't see any signs of padding.

Reliable + Ease to install

Easy to install and holds up my 10+ lb canvas paintings (canvas painting + full wooden frame) with ease. No need for dry wall screws or a stud finder. I trust these!

Hung a 40 lb 3ft x 4 ft picture with 2 hooks...AMAZING!

Solid but no longer subtle

These still work great, but the new much larger nails are a disappointment. You used to be able to hang 30 lbs and not be able to see the mark when you pulled it back off the wall. Not so much now. Long story short, they totally do the trick but are no longer remarkably better than anything else.

Quality and quality assurance reduced, but still useful hooks.

We’ve happily used these 50lb hooks in the past to hang large framed pictures and mirrors with good results. We misplaced (lost) a hook when painting and decided to order a package of 10. The product has changed a bit. The nails are longer and thicker. This is probably a good thing overall, but they’re not interchangeable with the older product. Quality and quality control seems to have suffered a bit. Our 10-pack has two brackets missing one of the 2 bushings the nails pass through for a snug, aligned fit. These 2 brackets are essentially not usable as intended, so our 10-pack is only an 8-pack. The overall quality seems to have gone down a little in favor of reduced cost, but functionality should not be impacted.

Excellent professional mounting kit

Very pleased with these, as they've held up quite well, even to this day. Will be purchasing more as I'm moving soon and want to display more art!

These are fantastic would be nice if they had rubber on the back like previous ones I bought Should give it a 4.5 star Did hang my 10 pound huge picture with frame. It is very secure however I used 2 hooks so it would balance my 5 foot wide landscape portrait. These hooks are an absolutely must haves I do believe my walls are made out of concrete or something like that.
