They are what is marked on the label

These are salad forks. Not much more to say, honestly. Did you plan on getting salad forks? If so, these will do nicely. Will they be ludicrously expensive compared to the ones you could score at Goodwill? Sure, but they also aren't going to bend them moment you drop them. I have put one of these through a disposal (accidentally, mind) and it was still usable. Chateau is a pattern that Oneida has committed to always carry, so you'll also know you can always get replacements for them and match what you already have. This is useful for parents, since I have had to buy something like 30 spoons and forks over the course of a year, and we still can never find one when we need it. What do the children do with them? Do they trade them for whatever potion allows them to have so much energy? Is there a silverware fairy who comes in at night and absconds with them, leaving dirty mismatched socks behind? The world may never know. Anyway, these are good forks, Brent.

Love these forks

Love these forks. I need forks with shorter tines then regular dinner forks. These are perfect! They have. Good weight to them, not the really thin feeling metal. Seems like they will last. They are still super shiny after a few rounds in the dishwasher.

Excellent!

I had the château pattern in Oneidacraft. One by one my salad forks began to disappear. I took a chance and can say I am pleased. I feel like the forks I purchased may have a bit more weight than the originals. I would not hesitate to purchase more replacement cutlery.

The interior sides of the tines are NOT polished !

The interior sides of the tines are NOT polished, and this is a serious shortcoming. Food particles can and will collect in the ridges of rough surfaces and this can lead to the growth of bacteria which can in turn lead to illness. Having a set of Oneida flatware that my mother had back in the seventies, if not before, I'd misplaced some pieces. At first glance, the replacements look like the originals. But the interior edges of the tines of the older forks are polished whereas the replacement forks are much, rougher, relatively speaking. The tines of the replacements are not as rough as those of some cheap forks that I bought at Kroger but.... I also bought some of the short-stemmed teaspoons and they are fine except that they don't even come close to nesting in the older spoons as the angle of the stem to the spoon is much different. Oh yes, they are made in Vietnam! During my childhood, Ford's Rouge plant was the crown jewel of industry. Around 2008 Chrysler and GM bankrupted and Ford closed about half of its U.S. assembly plants. I will keep the Onieda forks and spoons but only because such has become the new normal, here in Marxist America....

LOVE This Set!

Delivered quickly at a reasonable price (Oneida is a trusted name) and design is simple but elegant (also dishwasher-safe).....needed to add more dinner and salad forks to the set I already had from my grandmother so I was so happy to find matching silverware after all these years!!!!

Very nice forks

I bought these forks because the shape reminds me of the fork my mother used to make peanut butter cookies. For this purpose they are perfect, and they are also very nice forks.

Not as described. Barely 6 1/8”

Pretty girl but NOT as described. Specs read 8 “ fork. These are barely 61/8”.
