Disappointed with fit.

This was my first pair of NYDJ jeans, but it won't be the last
I had read about NYDJ Jeans and how they are soooo comfortable, some women claim the most comfortable jeans on the planet. So, I ordered this pair because they were on a good sale and it was less of a risk than ordering a normally-priced pair. I ordered a size smaller than I normally would wear because I had read that this brand makes their jeans on the big side. What I ordered fit perfectly, so I am glad I read and adhered to the advice found in those reviews. To my surprise, these jeans really were the most comfortable jeans I have EVER worn. It just blew my mind. So, I am glad I made this purchase. I don't know that I'll order this brand of jeans at regular prices, but I'll keep an eye out here at Amazon for other good deals on this brand. The only bad thing is that this brand does not make plus-sized jeans in shorter lengths. So, I had to have these shortened. Given the deal I got, it was worth it, but it would be nice if they didn't assume every woman in a plus size is tall enough for their regular lengths.

Don't order a size down
When these arrived, I thought I had accidentally ordered the wrong size. I normally wear 18W, but I received a 16W. Now that I am reading the product description, I see that they recommend ordering a size down to take advantage of the slimming technology. I think it's the fact that your pants are too tight that makes the slimming effect work. I tried them on, and they were too tight for me. I kept the ones that I originally ordered (because I thought it was my mistake) and ordered my true size. The pair that are my true size fit me the way I like.

Well worth the $ - especially on sale!
Very comfortable with plenty of stretch. I don't like my jeans too tight but based on earlier reviews I ordered a size down. I really like them and can dress them up or down. Just a little bit long but if I wear boots or shoes with about 2" heels they are just the right length. Hopefully I won't have any problems with one of the back pockets. On the majority of my other NYDJ pants, one of the back pockets always comes a little bit undone near the 'point' on the pocket. I don't know why.

You really need to order at least one size larger than what you normally wear in any other jean. These run small, even with the slight stretch in the fabric. I normally wear a size 20 in women's plus sizes and I had to order a size 24 so that the fit wouldn't be skin tight. These jeans will then fit perfectly once they are washed. I never dry my jeans in a dryer either. I do like that the waist fits very nice and comfortable for a plus size woman. I do not like the VERY lightweight fabric....it feels and looks cheap, and therefore the price for these jeans is outrageous. If these jeans were made in a medium weight denim they would be perfect (!!)...once you found which size fits you best in this NYDJ line.
