Nunn Bush

I have been purchasing Nunn Bush shoes for some time now for work. They are very light and comfortable. The Baker Street version toe is more square than the Marvin Street I have been buying. I will probably go back to the Marvin Street. I don’t really care for the square toe of the Baker Street. Good shoe just a style preference on my part.

Fine shoes great price

On my fourth pair of these in 7 years. I wear them for flying and the cushion is perfect for miles of airport walking, mostly water proof and good traction for oil/ice on ramp. Has good/the right shine appearance out of the box, just wipe off every now/then.

Comfortable shoe

In my previous work, I did a lot of walking. I have worn out multiple pair of these shoes over the years. I purchase the same product to replace the worn pair. They are slightly snug when new but soon thereafter break in nicely. Though not slip-ons, I find that once broken in, I can leave the strings tied and slip the shoes on and off, which I find a value-added benefit.

BitterSweet

These shoes are bitter sweet, I'll start off with the good. They are very very comfortable once they're broken in. They are very nice and aesthetically pleasing defiantly what I would consider a very professional looking shoe. I gotta say when they are broken in and comfortable these are def my favorite shoes. However they are unfortunately one of the least durable shoes I've ever owned and very painful to break in. I purchased these in January of 2015 and my second pair in January of 2016. The first pair only lasted about 9 months before they were embarrassing to wear. They have bad creases in them and the leather rips and detaches from the shoes. I work in IT and support computers as well as telephone systems. Some days I'm at the desk and others I'm out and about working on equipment. My job requires me to have a nice pair of business casual shoes. The shoes just are not cut out for the job to handle the days I walk for hours and service equipment. The second problem was breaking them it. Talk about pain the first 2-3 weeks. They were a nightmare but once they're broken in they are very comfortable to work in. I am disappointed to say the shoes cracked on top 5 months in wearing them on the right shoe (picture posted) . I am sad that I will not be buying another pair of these for my next pair, I love these shoes but I'm not willing to buy a new pair every six months for the price of them.

As good as any

Fit , finish, and comfort are all first rate. My only criticism extends to virtually all "lace up" oxfords available today—the padded strip around the ankles. I never felt the need for them in shoes that didn't have them (back when those were available), and I don't now. The ankle pads on similar shoes I've owned in the pat have all been covered with some variety of "leather look" plastic that broke down and made the shoes look shabby when the rest of the leather uppers still had years of service left on them. Shoes looked a lot better without them, too, whether new or used. However, since you can't seem to find shoes without those needless pads today, I'll give this product as good a recommendation as similarly equipped. A suggestion to the manufacturer would be to offer the same shoes, but without the ankle pads, as an option costing five bucks more. I'd gladly pay the difference.

Look great, comfortable,

I had a pair these before and looked great and the sole part is also pretty shiny making it look dressier than others. This solved the 3 problems I've had trying to find dress shoes. 1. Ones that are very dressy and shiny which also have a shiny looking sole always have a bottom sole that are hard as a rock. 2. The shiny ones which DO have a comfortable soft rubber sole, the sole part is always really dull and clunky looking spoiling the dressy look. 3. The shoes that have that DO have the nice soft shiny neoprene sole are never dressy and shiny on top. Hardly what you want for a "shiny" dress shoe. This combines the shiny top and shiny SOFT neoprene sole. Why was this such a hard thing to do???? Note: the shiny upper part is not leather. it is a plasticy coating that will last a few years before it starts coming off. but 5 stars anyway for being comfortable and looking great till that point.

Purchased Again --- Love this Shoe!

Third time buying this on Amazon. They come perfect, never tried on before, and flawless... Shoes were delivered in 100% immaculate condition. Straight off the press. They were brand new, never tried on, and without flaws, scuffs, striations, dents or scratches in the leather surface on any part of the shoe. Superb worksmanship and finish. It’s my 5th pair so I knew the size. I’m an airline Captain and needed comfort and uniform dress standard quality. A WORD OF CAUTION: many reviews say the laminate surface of the leather separates etc. and well, this is true, in my experience, which is why you should NOT used any instashine on the laminated leather surface. If you do, the shoes will last one year, to the date :-)))! You’ll find they go about 4 months worn daily before they loose glare. Just use a damp cloth followed by a soft dry buffing cloth,...back to new! I get complements on these shoes. They are also waterproof as walking around the aircraft in monsoon rains revealed no leaks whatsoever in 2 to 3 inches of standing water. JUST DON’T USE INSTASHINE. I have never tried shoe polish. Probably not worth the effort, it’s a laminated shine.... and they are IMMEDIATELY comfortable.

Seem to wear out too quickly

Despite being leather, they cracked prematurely over the top of the foot where the shoe flexes. I treat my shoes and condition them so I am unimpressed with this NunnBush style. I have bought Bakers from the store as well, and they would wear really well and the only ones I had that cracked through were synthetic uppers, which were a cheaper model. I find that the shoelaces on the NunnBush shoes also tend to break really easy and after a short period of time. I generally get 2 pairs a year but have some from a few years ago that are still in great condition, even better than ones I have bought since and worn less. These are certainly not worth the price and I did wonder if the ones I purchased through Amazon were a knockoff or seconds.
