Underwhelmed, but overall OK

Overall, satisfactory. This is mostly my first impression. PRY -- It is plenty sturdy to pry open a paint can. I doubt I'd be able to get enough leverage to pull a nail. CUT -- I used it to open another Amazon box. It sorta ripped the tape instead of cutting it. It wasn't that different than if I used a key to open the box. I am disappointed that it isn't sharper. I don't know what I was expecting. Something more like a seatbelt cutter perhaps. SCREW -- I tried working a Philips and flat screw. It will be hit and miss whether the Philips will be the right fit or a poor fit that simply strips the screw head. I picked this product over some competitors due to the Philips head. RULER -- Perfectly serviceable ruler. I haven't tried the bottle opener or wrench features yet. Overall I'm currently rating this as fine. For me: 1/5 = Horrendous! 2/5 = Failed to fully meet expectations 3/5 = Satisfactory 4/5 = Exceeded expectations 5/5 = Amazing! A couple of things disappointed me, but not enough for me to drop it down a point. If they could sharpen the pull-cutter blade section to a proper cutting edge, it would be a big improvement. Perhaps they can't without risking losing the market position of being TSA-ok. It is very lightweight but appears strong enough for the task. I would fit my keychain without hardly noticing. Still, I think I might keep looking.

Handy little item

Love this tool, but the serrated edge might cause you problems.

I love this tool, it's very light, goes on and off my keychain very quickly, opened bottles no problem (I wouldn't want to open everyone's bottles at a party with this, but for my use it worked fine), and even though I ultimately took it off my keychain, I'm not going to return because I like it so much. So why don't I carry it on my keychain anymore? Well, the older version of this product lacks the serrated edge. It's sharp to have on your keys in your pocket and I'm sure it will cut me one day when I reach in. I want to differentiate it from the older version, which I think is the superior keychain tool. I replaced this tool with a Swiss army knife (Jetsetter) that included scissors, a bottle opener, tweezers, a tooth pick, and a real screwdriver, but when I travel on an airplane I still swap the Swiss army knife (that doesn't actually have a knife) for this tool, and TSA doesn't bother me. I couldn't bring myself to give this 4 stars, it's a really neat tool, just consider the older version and whether you really need the serrated edge and kind-of phillips head screwdriver. If you are ok with the serrated edge, this tool is the best.

Sturdy light weight EDC

This an improved version of the original Doohickey. The addition of the Phillips driver and the serrated cutter are nice additions. The only negative thing I could mention is that the bottle opener function got worse. I feel that it could have been designed better, so that neither the bottle opener, nor the cutter/"knife" function would have suffered. Other than that, it is a very handy and sturdy one piece small multitool.

light weight, rugged, convenient

Nite Ize KMTSE-11-R3 packs 8 tools into one design; however, serrated edge may be too sharp for carry in a pocket.

Nice to keep on your keychain, but bottle opener is not the best

So far all I've used it for is to open bottles and cut twine. The twine cutting is fine, maybe even great but opening a bottle takes a few tries. Being that the other end of the bottle opener, the part that touches the top of the cap, is a point, it kind of digs into the cap, rather than give you a surface to lift the edge of the cap off. That's a little disappointing since opening bottles is what I'll be using this thing for most of the time. It is solid though, this thing isn't bending. I was also worried about cutting myself on the serrated part but that has yet to happen.

Didn't know i would use it so much

It's on my key chain so it's with me when I'm out, helped me so many time. And it's strong enough for anything, and on top it's not expensive. Easy 5 stars

Very handy. Could be thicker and a little larger

The flathead screwdriver end of tool could've been thicker so it would be sturdier and handle more load.
