You may realize how ugly your door is!

If you are doing home renovations and upgrades and don't have a sense of humor you will lose your mind if it's not lost already. That's why I chuckled after we installed the The NEIKO 52905A Digital Door Lock. The lock looks good. So good it made us realize our poor door has seen better days! That's something you may not realize going about your everyday life. I posted pics. The door is being painted immediately! Now to talk about the lock. Installation was not difficult, perhaps because we just installed our other lock and were in the zone. What may trip you up is if you had a wonky original install of your previous locks. Make sure the dirt and debris is cleared out of where your lock used to be. You may have to scooch some things over slightly to match up. That was our frustration but it had nothing to do with this lock set. You don't get a 7, 8, or 9, so if those numbers are ideal for your code, you should choose another Neiko lock option. We are fans of their locks so perhaps check out their page and take a look. I like that we don't need WIFI, as ours is iffy at best. This lock is easy for the kids to use. I like that we have a key option should the batteries give out before we get in. I think this lock would be ideal indoors as well. If you have a home office, a room that has your firearms, and in some states you are required to have a lock on the door for rooms that grow herbal medicine. Or maybe you just have teenagers who don't respect the rule of don't come into our bedroom without asking. Because some do when you aren't home. Even if they seem angelic, it happens and you may have items you don't want them to see. Get this lock! I posted pics of inside and outside. It's ok if you chuckle when seeing our awful outside door. I don't know who thought that color green was attractive but it's going away ASAP. Five stars for the NEIKO lock and their customer service. We would definitely purchase more NEIKO locks in the future.

Another happy NEIKO door lock customer

We ordered the NEIKO 52906A Digital Door Lock after realizing our door locks had seen better days. We have kids that come and go and often forget their keys and forget to lock the door. We also have iffy WIFI. There are door locks that rely on WIFI more than ours can handle. That's why we felt this door lock was perfect for our needs. Installation was done by my husband and had no issues once we cleared out some old debris that had collected over the years in the door hole where the old lock once was. We followed the instructions and got everything set up in about 40 mins, including installation. I especially like that there's a key lock just in case the batteries fail for the digital code entry. I love all the fun new home innovations on the market to make life easier but when modern innovations fail, wow do they fail at the wrong times. Just make sure you always have some batteries on standby, put the spare key on your key ring, and you will be good to go. This is a great option for those who are ready for the next level in door locks, but aren't yet ready for anything to do with fingerprints or WIFI. This is easy to use and looks attractive on the door. If you are going to sell in the near future it definitely gives an upgraded first impression for buyers. We are glad we ordered the NEIKO 52906A Digital Door Lock and give five stars. It's perfect for our needs and family.

Good lock and good value

Good lock and excellent value. Keyboard is a bit confusing as the same button used for lock and unlock command (after code entered). I find it a little confusing, though this is a matter of preference.

Couldn't get it installed

I hate returning things and have gone to great lengths to purchase missing parts, etc. to avoid it, but this one is on its way back. The installation instructions are on one page in very small print; (I'm 69) and were really pretty useless. I used trial and error to get the right screws and when it was finally installed, the deadbolt wouldn't stay locked. I would highly recommend the manufacturer invite a dozen or so DIY-ers to install these on a door using the instructions and get some feedback.

It's okay.

The lock set is okay. The instruction doesn't tell you which screws to use in the step by step descriptions. I received more screws than what's listed on the instructions, so it's trial and errors during installment.

sharp edges under handle

When opening these door handles it has sharp edges on the underside so every time you open push the lever to open the door your hand gets scrapped / cut. 6 months from purchase and the locks doesn't work anymore. when entering in the code it acts like it is going to unlock / lock then it opens and vice versa no matter what I try to do. Of course it is not even 1 month out of warranty. Not happy I spent a lot of money on these locks.
