As we’ve come to expect from Moen, they’ve delivered another flawless faucet. This faucet is large, the metal is thick and the base is wide. I feel like the build quality in Moen products are the way things should be. Our bathroom is still very much a work in progress, but the faucet is installed and working great. We were going to get a pedestal sink that had one hole to make install a little cleaner, but we got a good deal on a 3 hole sink we couldn’t pass up. Now, if you’re using this on a single hole sink, you install and done. If you’re using a 3 hole sink, you have a few options: 1. Get some brushed or chrome caps to plug the in-used holes. 2. Pick up a soap dispenser, or sprayer, or whatever fun gadget fits in there. (My wife recently installed a soap dispenser on one side, we’ll probably cap the other.) 3. Look for the 3 hole to one hole adapter plate and use that. I actually used the adapter plate on a sink in the kitchen. Provided the opening is the right size, you’re good to go. I will say this about the base of the faucet. If you’re planning on adding soap dispensers or other hardware, make sure it will fit through the opening,... and,.. still fit next to the faucet base. There are a few different items out there that extend past the hole diameter. The larger base on the faucet can make fittment difficult. Again, like most home projects, if you want to get it right the first time, measure several times, and take lots of photos before you hit the hardware store for parts. Then you’ll be fine. Installation was a breeze: 1. Turn water off at the valve. Most have it directly at the hose connection, though some people like to turn the water main off completely. (Up to you. At your own risk. If in doubt call a friend who’s handy with the pluming.) 2. Disconnect hot/cold hoses from the old faucet, remove old faucet. 3. Drop new faucet down the hole, connect hot/cold water and your done! That’s if all goes well. : ) depending on the age of your dwelling and what was installed previously, you may need to grab an adapter or two of the fittings don’t jive with what you have. That said, most fittings and adapters are a couple bucks a piece. I had to get one for my hot water, had two fittings nearly the same size at the hardware store,.. so I bought both. I like a plan A, B and C whenever completing home projects. The water is easy to control, to the right for water on, left for off. Up/down to change hot or cold. Pretty simple. I like simple. The kit comes with some one time use tools for the job, they worked out just fine. I would highly recommend this faucet to anyone in the market. A lot of people think it’s too high. My wife washes her face in the sink occasionally and she wanted a high faucet for that. It works perfect for her. I would imagine if you are also inclined for a high faucet it would work for you too. Outstanding build quality with all the stuff you need to make it happen. Excellent job Moen!
