It’s small!

I have a 70 pound lab and this bed is really small. It’s well made and looks nice though. The edging where he lays his head is really full which makes it not fit well on our couch which has poofy cushions . We’re using it elsewhere so it will work. I would say it’s best for a dog about 60 pounds. He does curl up in there and makes himself fit, so I guess it works!

Saved my sofa… UPDATE

UPDATE: I can confirm that the bolsters are filled to capacity with shredded memory foam. I know because I spent 45 minutes cleaning it up and am still finding pieces here and there three days later. I loved this thing for my dog and I’ll probably end up buying another but not until we tackle Chloe’s destruction issues. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am so glad I found this for my dog. I bought a new white sofa (to replace my old white sofa) eight days before finding a black dog outside my work. She wasn’t chipped and I couldn’t find find her owners so she came home with me. I swore I wouldn’t let her on my sofa but six weeks later, she had been on the sofa four or five times and her black hair was accumulating on it quickly. She likes her beds but she wants to be on the sofa with me and I was tired of fighting her to keep her off. I started searching for furniture covers but I really didn’t want to cover my whole sofa. Enter this pet bed/furniture protector. It was vacuum sealed and flat when it arrived. The bolster arms almost immediately fluffed up but the back needed some help. I had to massage it to get it to take its shape. The arms also seemed to be filled firmer than the back but after about a week of her using it, it’s pretty firm all around (in a good way). I saw complaints from others that the memory foam is crushed. I’m not sure why this is a problem, it’s stuffed well and it seems like it will last. The backing is textured to prevent slipping. I’d say that it stays in place way better than a blanket but it doesn’t necessarily stick. Others also complained that the bolster doesn’t allow room for their dog. I didn’t have this issue but I have a deep sofa. I’m so glad I found this. My sofa still looks nice although the throw pillows get tossed aside. It’s the perfect compromise between me and Chloe.

Arrived with a hole in seam

Opened it, found hole in seam, put it back in package, returned it. The fabric did seem quite slippery

Only comes with one cover

The item description said it came with 2 covers, but only 1 was sent. I contacted Amazon and they sent me another. The cushion is very soft and seems fairly durable.

Best Solution

My son would have to keep large items on his couch to keep his large chocolate lab from sleeping on it. I ordered this cover for him since he couldn’t beat him…he might as well join him! Lol! He loved it right away, and surprisingly it was big enough, even though Hershey is rather large. I did, however, drape a blanket over the arm of the couch to protect it from hair. Fortunately, I had a blanket that is the exact same color as the couch. As of this review, I haven’t washed it yet, so I can’t really speak on how it holds up. I do see that the pillow portion can be removed for washing. I bought a previously purchased item, so I also saved money. Definitely worth the price I paid for it!

Couch cover for dogs

It turns out that a large is not big enough for our full grown Labrador. Disappointed to say the least.

my do loves it!

fits very well on any couch or bed in my house. my dog really likes it. i don't have a dog that sheds a lot but when he does it doesn't stick to the fabric. he's about 50 pounds and a medium size dog so it was very comfortable for him.

My dogs love it, so I love it

Both my dogs love lounging on it. It just fits my 85lb. Lab, but he enjoys curling up on it. It also creates a designated spot on the couch for dogs, which means the rest of us have a chance of having a spot to sit! A little bit expensive, but worth it so far.

Easy to clean

I bought a large size bed and my dog is a medium size dog. This is perfect because he’s aloud on my bed but I hate all the hair so I’m hoping this will lessen it.

Dogs love them

Like them a lot just one thing they need a strap or something to stop the dogs pushing them of the sofa

Ordered the large,but still a little small for my bull dog.

Thought it would be larger,and the back raised area just flops over onto the already to small bed area,not enough foam to keep its shape.
