Maybellin Face Primer

I like the way this product goes on, it smooths out your complexion. So that when you apply your foundation makeup it all goes on smoothly without showing your blemishes.

Not Affective on T-Zone

I'm on a mission to stop using makeup products containing talc, due to the industry's lack of sufficient oversight over asbestos contamination. It's just not worth it to bring those products into my home around my family. I loved Rimmel Stay Matte primer, but have called it quits after years of use. Finding a good replacement primer without talc has been a challenge for a gal with oily skin. I had a trial size of Smashbox Photo Finish Oil and Shine Control primer and was impressed. However, due to the high price tag, I did a LOT of research online, and finally bought this Mabelline product, hoping for a similar feel and effectiveness, but am disappointed. My BB cream doesn't seem to adhere very well to this primer, and is hard to blend in over top. Additionally, my pores don't look diminished at all. My T-zone feels greasy halfway through the day. I've decided to use up the rest of the tube on my cheeks and chin to at least get use out of it, and bit the bullet to buy the Smashbox primer at $45 for a 1 oz tube. I plan on using the Smashbox on my forehead and nose for oil and shine control. So many options are off the table because of talc. I'm sad, but it's important to me. I'm still hunting for a more affordable talc-less primer that's good for oily skin!

Average moisture, low blur.

Tried this because the price was right. It was not as good as the Smashbox or Nanoblur. However, it is an affordable substitute when the others are out of stock or budget.

"Blurs" like it says, keeps your makeup on your face longer

If you are using this alone on your face to just "blur" imperfections, then you are going to use A LOT! It does like it says, but it takes a ton for that effect. If you are using it for a makeup foundation primer, it works great with a thin layer, a bit extra on any problem areas, and BAM! Smooth makeup that lasts! I use this under Lancomb 24h foundation and it works really well.

Never knew this existed! Was looking at YouTube videos on simple make up for my elopement and this girl suggested this product. My make up looked good and lasted all day!!! Easy to used and doesn't feel heavy.

Only look dead on the inside, not the outside. 10/10 would buy again

Loving this product. It goes on smoothly and helps my foundation look flawless. I'm 27 but it takes a few years off my face once I add my foundation and blush. Now when I'm on my way home after a long day it's only the hollow look in my eyes and not under them that betrays my soul leaving my body. The only thing I don't like about this product is that I have to use a lot of it. Otherwise, it's worth every dollar.

Not my favourite

I have large pores and I find this primer visibly settles in them but then when I put foundation over the top the white of the primer shows through.

Works Well, good primer all around

I really like this stuff, my only complaint would be that it usually takes a lot to cover my face because it absorbs so quickly or something. But it creates a good canvas and always makes my skin feel soft. I have been using this stuff for about a year now.
