They seem very cheap compared to my last pair

They Have a different nose piece than my last one and they just seem very cheap

Five stars isn't enough!

About 18 years ago, I tried on a pair of Maui Jims (somewhere?), and--I mean this sincerely--in that one moment my entire perception of just how nice a good pair of sunglasses can be changed forever. Within a week I had scraped together enough to actually buy a pair (lol no small feat in my twenties!). That first pair lasted me (I think?) six years! I've owned three or four pairs of MJ's in the time since... honestly I won't even consider buying anything else. The definition and clarity of the lenses is beyond phenomenal--in fact, I can think of at least five or six people that tried mine and immediately bought their own! For anything that involves being in the sun I've never seen a pair of sunglasses that comes within a howitzer shot of them... don't take my word for it, see for yourself, I mean that. I spend a lot of time fishing, and again, these glasses really are as good as it gets, and not by a small margin. At the end of the day though, the problem is this: these suckers are expensive. If you're the type that can hold on to a pair of sunglasses for a long time and treat them kindly, they are worth twice the price, seriously. But if you're the type that's wearing a new pair of sunglasses every three days because you lose everything, don't do it... lol it'll break your heart! They really stand behind their products as well.. if they get a little raggedy, you can send them in and get them overhauled for a nominal fee. A friend of mine once sent his in because the hinges where getting loose, and as far as both of us can tell what they sent him back was a brand new pair of the same model, for less than $50 total. Concerning the Hanalei model in particular, I picked up a pair recently and they are wonderful. They look great, they're comfortable, VERY light, a great choice for fly-fishing... they stay put on your head and won't fall into the water while you're wading. The lack of frames, also, provides a wide open field of vision. If you can't tell I'm a total Maui Jim fanboy... the only real complaint I have is picking out what style I want! HIGHLY recommended.
