Perfect

I should have ordered a size up but was able to retrofit the original can to hold the new light. Chose the daylight setting and it lights up the entire area around my front door.

Connectors in the boxes make installation a breeze.

I added additional lighting to my dining room.A dimmer allows for a full range of lighting from dimly lit to full on brightness.

Reliability may be an issue

I got 10 of the basic 3000k 6” lights 5 years ago. As another reviewer has said, some control boxes may not last more than few years. 2 of mine have recently failed, and the culprit is the control box because when I installed a new box and connected the old light, it worked fine. They’re inexpensive enough and still available and easy enough to switch out that I’ve bought a few spares. I’d still buy again since maybe the design has changed. The new replacement lights look like they’re built a little differently on the underside that doesn’t show.

Quality control is an issue

It was very easy to install the the replacements I bought. The product looks fine in the sheetrock ceiling. My primary complaint is that I've had six of these for about five years and have had to replace two of them that stopped working. The lights themselves are fine but the transformers went bad. That's pretty poor quality as transformers are simple devices and seldom fail. Also, I didn't see a way to buy just the transformer, so I now have two extra working LED lights.

Bought as a replacement for broken fitting

Son fitted in 15 minutes as I don’t like electronics. The transformer we has died and buying from Amazon was cheaper and quicker Than buying locally.

Super bright lights!

The media could not be loaded. I love these recessed lights. It's been on my list to upgrade the exterior since I purchased my house 3 yrs ago. I had temporarily installed motion flood lights. These pot lights are for wet locations and are for interior or exterior lights. I hired an electrician because my husband & I are not handy people, I wouldn't know how to cut a hole into the soffit to start. He's a Journeyman level and have done this multiple times, he suggest not to attempt this unless your handy. It took him less than 3 hours to install the 6 lights (3 recessed & 3 wall lights). They are so bright! I absolutely love them. I wished they were 5000K so they are bright white, however they are warm white.

Great quality for the price

These lights are very easy to install and the 3000k is a perfect colour. They are brighter and flicker free, unlike the ones I am returning to H.D. tomorrow. Great quality for the price.
