Love these shorts

Comfort and style
My weight has been moving up and down recently and I was looking for some shorts that could handle that and these have been the ones. The flexible waist has kept them fitting well so I haven't had to replace my wardrobe. The wife likes them too as they go well when wearing something nicer than just a t-shirt and sandals and can be kept super casual too.

Relaxed Fit
I specifically bought tri-flex because I’m tall (need 10” inseam) and the extreme comfort shorts were WAY too baggy. Come to find out, these are just as baggy as relaxed fit. There is a ridiculous amount of room in the thighs.

Fairly comfortable
These shorts are lightweight, with a comfortable & stretchy fabric. I mainly bought them for the promised moisture wicking, which works somewhat but isn't perfect at keeping you cool. Still better than nothing in hot humid weather. My biggest negative comment is more general, in that like SO many others on the market, these days nearly every producer makes the inseam 11" to as much as 16"- so long that the shorts reach the knees or even further down. I tried very hard to find shorts with 7" to 9" inseams but wasn't able due to the slavish way all the brands copy each other... Fashion driven by the golf industry even though most of us will never set foot on a course. Frustrating!

I have over a dozen pairs of these
These are my favorite shorts. They go on sale regularly, wait for the sale. I usually wear size 32-ish, but the size 30 of these fits me. I like that they stay up with phone and keys in pockets without needing a belt. Good length, nice looking can dress up or down. I work out in these, go bike riding, go on dates, hiking, stretching, everything. I will be wearing these for years. They also sit above the hip and have a bit of a gusseted crotch.

Nice Shorts
Second Update: after four months, I am reconsidering my review once again. Yes I was extremely disappointed that the shorts developed a hole so quickly. However, I have continued to wear them for almost daily hikes, and they are comfortable and are (hole notwithstanding) holding up well. My efforts to shop for an alternative product that is better have come up empty. I have now purchased a second pair in a different color. My original rating of 4 stars is hereby reinstated. These shorts are ideal for hot weather hiking. Update: after three weeks and perhaps 6 to 8 wearings, there is a hole just below the back pocket. As stated, the material is flimsy and hasn’t stood up to normal use. My original rating of 4 stars is hereby reduced to one star. Pretty good shorts for hot-weather hiking. Material is a bit too lightweight. Front pockets are too shallow for my preference, some objects fall out when I sit in my comfy chair. The small elastic patches in the waist are a great idea and work well, which is good since I find the waist is a bit undersized. Wash well.

Way under sized. Avoid buying from Australia. Return postage is a killer.
Way off the charts size wise. Have the lee jeans that fit perfectly in the same size. Bought 3 pairs of lee shorts thinking they would all be the same fit as the jeans. NOPE! Clearly under sized on all pairs. Could almost not even get into one pair and forget doing up the zipper. Its like they are labelled wrong. Return shipping was a ridiculous price also. Will try and stick with ASOS from now on for the simple free returns. Amazon returns process is a shocker. You have to hand write at the post office all the details printed then type it in yourself at the counter despite carefully labelling and already packing the items your self before arriving at the post office. Wow Amazon. What a debacle!
