So fun and great detail on all the pieces!

This product is great. My son loves a the pieces that come with it and the way he can create different combinations. The instruction building cards are easy to use.

Fun toy but shipping label put directly on box

We always love Learning Resources building sets. This one was more sparce than others and without walls it doesn't really look like a castle. Still fun for my son to put together though and I plan on using it in my classroom. The really odd thing was that it didn't come in a separate box. A shipping label was just put on the box so now it has a big shipping label covering the picture on the front.

Cool STEM set

While my five year old has already broken several of the pieces, I still think this is a cool set. I love how the cards have each building project broken down into the basic model and then on the other side have a couple options of how to finish it. There are also thought provoking questions. I do wish it came with two horses though. Why have two knights and one horse?

Great Gift for any little Engineer!!

We got this as a gift for my sons friend but my son was soooo jealous we now have it on his wish list!! It is a really cool set up and the kids had fun putting this together. I definitely suggest this for any child into building!!

FLIMSY

The media could not be loaded. This thing is junk. It will barely stand up when built, especially when using the catapult. I don't expect it to last 2 weeks. Greatly disappointed in this purchase. I would 100% return if it had not been a Christmas gift! Save your money!

Hours of fun

My 4 and 7 yo have spent hours working with this set. It seems to be of good quality and there are lots of options to build.

Castle Building

I ordered this for my 5 year old grandson. It entertained for the whole afternoon while his cousins and brothers built crossbows & catapults. All the items on the table were STEM projects...helping us with extra home schooling projects.

Takes awhile to keep steady

Hard to put together it kept falling apart. Once he got it on a table stable it was good.

A good building activity toy teaching STEM ...

This is another good product from Learning Resources who are very well known for producing good quality educational games and toys for young children. This 'LER2876 Engineering and Design Castle' is the perfect introduction for children to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Suitable for children aged five and above. Inside the box are the following … • 123 colourful plastic construction pieces • 10 double sided activity cards with building challenges on each side • Play figures and a horse All of the pieces in this set have been made using good quality materials and each item is brightly coloured. My nephew aged six has been having great fun designing and 'engineering' some excellent buildings for his 'knights' using the guides. He has made bridges, various castles, turrets and other pieces using great ingenuity. This set will really help a child understand design, technology, engineering and problem solving as well as improve their fine motor skills. I think this is a must have educational toy for most girls and boys whilst still in the early years of primary school and it could certainly give them important understanding in the concepts of building, engineering, design, technology and art.

Innovative little set of entertaining projects

Maybe not as robust as Lego or with the potential for variations. However comparisons are a bit unfair as the intention of this product is to give a child projects to work upon. To this end the collection works very well. Assembly is easy to follow for a over 5 year old and there is the satisfaction of having a fun toy set to play with. Useful for home-school as a learning aid in comprehension of instructions and subsequent construction.

Fun but a bit flimsy

This castle construction set is recommended for over 5s and comes with a price tag of just under £30. I cannot help but compare it to Lego and other similar sets. And compared with that it just feels a little flimsy. It is fairly easy to build and quite a fun toy. You get two knights but only one horse so not sure why that is. So it's quite good but could be a little better for the price.

Nice Toy

Neat toy for the little one. Easy to assemble/ take apart. Any young child will get loads of fun with this toy. Brilliant.
