Heavy duty

This coupler is working great for me and is seriously heavy duty. It's just a heavy cast pice of metal, mostly with a coupling mechanism. I attached it to my trailer using 2 5/8" class 8 bolts and have had no problems with it. Also the coupling mechanism is easy to use, easy to figure out and convenient since it latches itself when you lower the coupler onto the hitch. I wish I would have painted or preserved it in some way before using it and keeping it outdoors because it has some surface rust already after only a few weeks, but it's just on an ugly utility trailer so who cares. I recommend this coupler.

Best trailer coupler available.

Easy to swap out. Easy to hitch and unhitch. You’ll wish you had one of these sooner. I use them on all my trailers.

Feels Heavy Duty

My assessment is that some other part of the tow will fail long before this component does. Because of the aggressive design though, make sure through-bolts have shaft all the way through this fixture and any channel mount. This thing looks like it will eat the threaded portion of bolts for breakfast. Another thing, the spring inside looks vulnerable to rust. I suggest protecting the spring somehow.

Will not bend !

Very heavy cast iron or forged coupler. This will not bend like the stamped metal coupler it is replacing. Mounting looks simple-two holes for bolts that will go through the trailer tongue .

Best of the Ball Hitch Designs / You getting the quality you are paying for (How refreshing)

This is the best of the ball hitches. It latches easily and securely. It is very robust construction. and so simple it should be very reliable and long lasting. I wish they made the hitch in a weld on version. I would use it on all the trailers we make.

Perfect to swap the Pintle on the new-to-me trailer to a ball coupler.

Direct bolt-on replacement, and towing my trailer is much quieter with a ball coupler. Exactly what I wanted/needed.
