Worked Fairly Well
Success!! Okay, So I had to extend three feet of speaker wire up a wall which had insulation; 3 feet. I had the original hole for the speaker and had to make a new hole 3 fee above. The magnetic end of the rope is of decent size so I had to enlarge the hole on both ends (no biggie) so it would fit. I was able create a path from the top down about 2 feet; pulled it out and went from the bottom-up and finally created a path. Tip- when going through insulation, make sure you push back the insulation on entry so the magnet in the wall is up against the drywall. Also when pulling the magnet through the wall, be prepared to zig-zag your way down (up) the wall. You will eventually get there. Hope this helps!

I was skeptical at first, this worked better than I could have hoped for. It has a great hold even through drywall.

Perfect for simple but hidden pulls.
I ended up attaching this to a standard wire puller so I could track and help guide the metal wire pull line and it works amazing. A great little addition when you need to be able to blind steer the metal wire puller in the wall to get it somewhere specific.

Needs better storage
Product is good but needs a better way for storage when not in use. A bit expensive but convenient and can be put in tool pouch

It did the job
The handle magnet will not last one drop and breaks into pieces and it’s so smal hard to grip it. But I was able to accomplish the job with the item so it worked. But handle magnetic needs to be bigger

I feel like a pro with this
This is a great tool to route electrical wire through a stud bay in a wall. Works as described. I feel like a pro with it.

Used this for the 1st time 2 days ago
It was very helpful. Was on a re-wiring project and needed to get 2 romex wires through a very tight area. I was able to drag the lug about 2 feet using the magnet on the underside of the ceiling board - wood, about 3/4" thick. It did get stuck and wouldn't go any longer. The wood may have been too thick. I taped the magnet to the end of a long piece of molding and threaded it into the crawl space to the lug. I was able to capture the lug and pull it to myself. I then taped the wires that I needed and was able to fish them up through the hole and on to myself. Easy peasy. This will be in my tool bag until it wears out and it will be replaced. A very cheap way to do a job that makes me money. I'd say that after using it just 1 time, it's already paid for itself.

Well worth the purchase!
This tool made an annoying job easy. The price is right and made it worth it to purchase for a few small projects. To good - simple to use, durable construction, very strong magnet had no problem connecting through drywall, plenty of extra slack on the string which makes it easy to fish through a wall. I don’t want to knock it because the purchase was completely worth what I paid but there is some room for improvement. There isn’t any soft material between the magnets - if you plan on slide it across a wall add a small piece of felt or something to the round magnet to prevent scratching up your wall. The slack of the string is nice but really long... almost too much and tangles easy. A better material would have been nice but, it works. I’d recommend this product without hesitation. There are others like it at a much higher price point that probably work a little better but, for most applications, you’ll do just fine with this.

Magnet is very weak
Just doesn’t do what it claims Need to drill a large hole too.

well made and very cool idea, but falls short in real use
This is a very well made product that has some definite appeal to professionals that need to fish wires and cables in existing walls. the problem is that the magnet is huge, requiring you to need to drill a 1-1/2" hole in your plate to get the magnet through. if you are using a long flex bit, this may be impossible or at the very least require the purchase of a new tool/bit. I really wanted to like this item but I returned it and will stick to my LSD wet noodle and glow sticks for now.

ordinary house
Not very convenient for commercial buildings where there are iron partitions, the magnet constantly sticks to the partition and it is impossible to pass the cable. You should try in an ordinary house where the partitions are wooden. As I try, I'll write right away, but for now 3.

Magnetic puck too large
If you're going to drill a hole on the top of a wall plate in order to drop the magnetic puck down into the wall, you'll need to use a more than necessarily large hole saw to make this happen. ..."more than necessary" for the electric wire that would be fed down the wall. Ridiculous.

calidad
el imán no es muy potente pierde contacto, y el acabado del producto se ve de mas baja calidad a comparación a lo que se muestra en la pagina.
