Cold knob turns backwards

The cold handle turns backwards, as if this faucet was supposed to have handles that you pull toward you. However this particular faucet has knobs, which should both turn the same direction (like unscrewing something). So I contacted customer service, and in so many words was told too bad, that’s just the way they are. I was forced to shell out another $27 for the correct cartridge, which indeed fixed it. This is not a fluke, either. I also bought the widespread version of this for another bathroom, and whaddayaknow. Another backwards knob. Another $27 cartridge.

Not What I was Hoping For

I bought this expensive faucet hoping for a quality product. I hoped the ceramic cartridge would never fail, for example. But after about 6 months it started leaking and now I am buying a replacement cartridge because it's leaking like mad. On the annoying side, the cute little H and C letters never adhered to the knobs. They won't stick no matter what, although we have tried several ways to reapply them. It looks expensive, but it's just not performing up to snuff.
