Solid little little fixture, heavier and brighter than I thought it would be. Happy customer!

This light fixture arrived as pictured. I didn't consider the measurements as well as I should have and ended up having to install it rightside up instead of upside down as it shows in the image, but it's just as well as these work nicely as uplighting. I think I prefer the look with the lanterns hanging down so will likely move my bathroom mirror down so they can hang unobstructed, but for now it works. It was easy to assemble/install and we have it on a dimmer which looks really nice when low, as the light glows like a gas lantern. It clearly depends on the type of bulbs you use, what color the ceramic lanterns will ultimately appear, but we used soft white LED dimmable bulbs and the ceramic lanterns appear more of a cream & tan color. If you used a bright white or daylight style bulb, I believe they would look more of a sand and white color like in the product image. The rest of the lantern is in fact the standard oil rubbed bronze that matches w/ virtually every oil rubbed bronze fixture you can buy today. This came with everything needed for install including the metal square back plate (which was a bit smaller than the one we had there previously for our old 2 lamp light fixture). I'm happy with this purchase, and I searched for a 2-light oil rubbed bronze fixture for weeks before stumbling upon this on another website, which then of course prompted me to check Amazon and low & behold, they carried it too and at a less expensive price with free shipping.

Can't see the beauty until after it is built

Thanks to those who wrote reviews! Reading them helped me to be very careful when unpacking the parts! The foam in the packaging is messy so I made sure to pull it apart in the box to save the mess that others noted. The hardware is wrapped in a small plastic bag and taped up with the packaging, so make sure you sift through everything before you throw anything out. After reading the instructions, I thought that I was missing 1 washer and 1 nut, as there is only one of each in the bag with the wrench. The second nut and screw are on the base of the lamp on the electrical cord. As a started to put the lamp together, I was skeptical that it was going to actually come together, but it actually does! Not having read the dimensions of the lamp (totally my fault) it is a bit shorter than I expected. All that being said, it is a very beautiful lamp and well worth the money. The two center peice are not two-tone as others noted, but it does not detract from the beauty of the lamp. I am using it in a bedroom that is done in contemporary expresso woods and the lamp adds a wonderful asian flair to the room, with a warm ambiance. The shade is rectangular, not round as it looks in the photo, but I do like this lamp very much. When I opened the box and pulled out the peices, I was sure I made a mistake and would be sending the lamp back, but once built and turned on - this is a very nice value!

Wow, amazing quality

I ordered this, not expecting much for the sale price of about $30. First it came better packaged than almost anything I've bought on Amazon, so well done! But when I took out the light, I was shocked. The quality and heft of this light was incredible. The design on so many of this kind of light is pretty, but then lacks in execution. Not this one- beautiful design, lovely construction, and great price. I collect antiques and vintage items; this is of similar quality. For reference, I bought the single light.

Beautiful...one I got the assembly right.

This is lovely. It’s a bear to assemble alone however. Figuring out how far to screw the bolts in so you have enough left for the next section took me a number of tries.

I'm giving a 4 star rating because

Not of the quality of the lamp itself but because of the service. Lamp shade is nice, different. What looks like it might be metal isn't and came in the box, chipped. I was able to glue pieces back on and reported the chips to the distributor. They offered a greater discount because there was no way to send back after the packaging was ripped to shreds. I like the lamp. looks great in my home but it needs to be behind things rather than in front or out in the open due to the chips and repairs. The distributor gets my kudos more than the manufacturer of the product.

We loved our first one

Is there any way the manufacturer can send me a new glass? When the contractor installed our light fixture, one of the glasses had a defective hole in it. There was not broken glass in the package. I don't want to return the entire light fixture since it is already installed. Please contact me to help resolve this issue. Thanks. We loved our first one. It had no defects.

great look but you have to work for it!

This is a really handsome lamp. That being said, this lamp is not packed or shipped with the best conditions. Putting it together is a bit time consuming and not intuitive. I initially bought this lamp on a "warehouse deal" and this lamp does not ship well at all when repackaged, and I had to return it. The lamp shade is fabric, almost a silky material and is a bit fragile, but very nice looking. Very solid lamp base. A good buy, but buy it from a reputable shipper who insures their merchandise.

I bought two of these lamps for my bedroom. I liked the Asian lines, color, size and price. I was not disappointed. Although, I have only had them for a few weeks. They arrived on time, well-packed and without damage. They look great for the price. No problem with them looking unbalanced. I would recommend them to anyone who likes the look of the lamp on line to buy, because they do look just like the photo. Amazon is the best place to buy, even though Lamps Plus may have a slightly lower price. Doing business with Amazon is light years ahead of doing business with Lamps Plus. I always feel comfortable with Amazon.
