Love this trash can

First the bag is hidden inside the trash can so you don’t see it hanging on the outside of the can. The motion detection is great. Because of our kitchen layout the trash can sits between two cabinets under a countertop. This is a workspace so I have had to switch the detector to the off position a few times until I’m not working straight in front of it. Most kitchens shouldn’t have this same issue. It is so very nice to roll the trash can to another area for convenience and it is nice to be able to walk in front of it with your hands are full and it opens for you. There are open and close buttons but I have yet to investigate what they are for. The trash can opens and closes on its own.

Sort of small for 13 gallon

Product arrived undamaged and looks great cosmetically. Sensor and lid function perfect as it should being brand new. What we do see is that it is substantially smaller than our old 13 gallon auto can. A 13 gallon bag cannot be filled to the max as the can won't allow it. Once we pulled a full bag out the contents dropped to about 2/3 of a bag. Not a big deal as we normally have a few more things that can go in it afterward but you might find it fitting less than you thought.

How did I survive 71 years without one of these. LOL

I absolutely love this. It's hands free. I no longer have to lift a cover with a dirty hand from peeling vegetables or a greasy hand. I just hover over it for a second and it opens on it's own. It stays open plenty of time for me to throw away whatever I'm disposing of. If you need it opened longer you can just hit the manual button to open it and then hit the close button. There's even a lock so pets can't open it. The top comes off easily to remove trash bags and put in a new one. You'll love it and wonder how you iived without it all you life. LOL

It’s good

I would of given 5 stars but for 13 gallons it seems little like I’m changing trash bags all the time

“Pet proof”

The whole pet proof thing is a bit of a gimmick. A more accurate name for his trash can would be “sturdy square trash can with a plastic flip latch” other than that satisfactory. My wife appreciates it and has been talking about it all week

Great so far

Mine does seem to have come with the retainer ring for the trash bag. I’d like to get one, exchange for a new can or something but I can’t figure out how to get customer service.

Keep your dog out of the garbage.

I love this garbage can! During the night, the dog would get into the kitchen garbage can and drag paper out. i got tired of picking up the paper and ordered this can. It locks, so the dog can not get into it. What a relief it is to wake up to clean floors again!

Almost perfect!

This actually does keep my golden doodle from getting into the trash but it’s pretty small and the square shape makes it a bit tricky to get the bags out. All in all, great buy. If they make one bigger that would be ideal.

Perfect to keep the dogs ont of it

Delivered much faster than expected. It works as advertized and I love the fact I can turns it off, making sure it doesn't open if the dogs sniff the cover. Would buy again if need be.

Good garbage can

It is a good garbage can. I got it because I needed a lock to keep my dog out of the garbage and the lock works well. Also having the motion sensor to reduce the amount of time it is open and the automatic close works well. The only thing I noticed is that as the bag in the can gets fuller the motion sensor didn't work as well but once the bag was emptied it worked well again. It seemed a little expensive for a garbage can but it looks good and if it is keeps the dog out of the garbage it is worth it.

Great for dogs

We bought this garbage can because the lid has a latch to lock it. This prevents the dogs from getting into it. The motion detection is great, and the lid opens fast. Great size too.

When it falls over the lid falls off

I got this bin because my dog kept pulling my other bin over. This one has a lock on it so I thought even though it’s expensive for a bin my dog won’t be able to get in it. How wrong was I. We only got it yesterday and today he knocked the bin over and the whole lid came off and my dog dragged everything out.

Didn’t even last a year :(

Full disclosure, I do love this garbage can when it’s working. This was the second we’ve purchased. Motion detection stopped working on our first one after 3 years. We chose to replace it since we loved it so much. Most recent one purchased in March 2021 has now stopped working as well. Very sad but also not spending another $100+ on a replacement :(
