For a Great Cup o' Joe, Look No Further!

We didn't know exactly what to expect when we got this since we were not familiar with the brand. The only moka pots we had used before getting this were the much more expensive Italian brand that were at a vrbo cabin we rented last year. After reading a bunch of reviews, we decided to go for it. It makes a great cup of coffee. Like many other reviewers say (in case you didn't know already), these "cups" aren't the 8 ounce measuring cups we use for baking, much less the typical 12-16 ounce coffee cups we Americans are used to. I guess since Italy is a lot smaller than USA, their cups are appropriately smaller as well (although, I might be full of it as my wife often suggests). Anyhoo, the only gripe we have is that sometimes, it will dribble when you pour. I haven't really figured out why sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Could be some lunar cycle thing or it could be sunspot activity. It might be when I am really Jonesing for coffee and try to pour too fast. Whatever it is, it's not really that big a deal, we just pour over the sink. DO NOT WASH IT IN THE DISHWASHER. This pot is made of aluminum. Dishwasher soap is caustic. Caustic chemicals discolor aluminum. It's that simple and is not a flaw of the product. All you need to do is rinse it out after use. Stop reading reviews and buy it already. You will be glad you did!!

For an inexpensive pot, it works well.

I decided that I wanted to start making espresso in the afternoon. I don't have counter space or the budget for a great big espresso machine, so decided to look at the moka pots. I just needed some thing inexpensive that worked well to see if I'm really into it. This little pot is certainly not designer, definitely not expensive, and has a flaw. There's the tiniest little space at the hinge on the lid that lets steam out, so if you hold the handle too close to the top you risk getting a steam burn. Having nothing else to compare this to, I'm not sure if that is designed that way on purpose. The bottom line is that this makes a decent cup of espresso for very little investment. I thought I would buy this and see if I'm committed to making a pot of moka regularly, and then upgrade. But for now this little pot works well enough for my needs.

Amazing purchase

This was a great replacement to a similar kettle i had previously owed. This compact size is perfect for morning coffee at home and is small in size to take with you on trips so you can continue to enjoy coffee your way!

Stove or camping

Make large quantities of espresso in silence on a stove top or campfire. Just don’t melt the handle ????, but if you do the replacement is very affordable.

Does the job

Does it’s job, but top leaks a little when opening (probably condensation, although my other stovetop espresso maker didn’t do this). Still happy with my purchase.

Makes a great cup of coffee and it also makes a great cup of tea.

I found that if you like a nice cup of tea if you put the tea leaves where the coffee grounds go and then Brew it like you would your coffee it makes a great cup of tea.

Good coffeemaker

I'm only giving this coffeemaker four stars because I've only used it a couple of times. Overall, this is a great coffeemaker. It's easy to use and clean. It's important to note this size makes one regular cup of coffee. If you want to make espresso, I think you'd get two or three cups, if not four. Imusa is a Colombian brand that has been around for a long time. They have good quality products. So, I bought this coffeemaker without thinking twice. I highly recommend it.

Bad Buy

Found the coffee maker to be of very poor quality. It weighs about half of a similar one that I have. I have used my earlier coffee-maker for twenty years and will be happy if this lasts for even two. Not the right brand for anyone looking out for such a product.

Fantastic for brewing indoors or outdoors!

If you want the taste of espresso at home then look no farther. This is a perfectly reasonably priced and functional coffee maker that can about as close to the taste of espresso that you're gonna get outside a coffee shop. Now I've mainly been using this thing outdoors for hiking, and it works perfectly with a little butane burner. Fantastic if you're craving a cup of mud out in the woods, albeit a bit bulky, better used for day hikes. If you were doing long, overnight backpacking trips, i'd recommend just a wire coffee dripper and some paper filters.
