Heavy Duty Shelving

I needed a shelf that was more thn 12 inches and less than 24 inches. This was it and a very good price from a well known storage company. It is sturdy. I gave it a 4 in assembly because a lot of time is required to make sure it is level. My garage wall was a bit wavy and made leveling difficult without a helper. A good stud finder and a four-foot level are needed. The bolts are very substantial, and a power driver is very helpful as a rachet driver is a slow process. A wrench would be a lot of work. I predrilled using their suggestion to soap the bolts. Then I drove the bolts in a bit to have a good starter hole. The rubber stoppers thar secure the shelves were also hard to install and I have to resort to a hammer to get them set. They are essential to the stability of the shelves. I added a zip tie for added protection. I am very satisfied with the shelves and got a lot of stuff off the four. They suggest that this a 30-minute job, but I found it was much longer mainly because of the levelling.

High quality but dont rely on shipping dates

The quality of product is really good, but if you have a project date for installation then better buy atleast a month before because Amazon shipping is frustrating and you will end up calling them multiple times to check their shipment which they dont have a clue. Amazon needs to have a better tracking dashboards built for the customer service team as they find it difficult to track.

Really heavy duty shelves you can put alot of weight on these...good everywhere garage, basement, shed, workshop, closet etc

I love the shelf.

I didn’t really follow the directions though. I wanted the shelf in the garage. The space meant that I had to install the brackets on the studs that are 16” apart. That worked but not for installing the rod. That took some improvising. I found some hooks that worked to hold the rod. I used some leftover hooks to hold my extension cords. I’m 79 yo and did this all by myself and it was fun.

Really great value when on sale, get the 1st gen though

Ended up ordering three of these for a total of 6x 45"W shelves in the garage... got them nearly half off list, so can't recommend them highly enough, given the price/sturdiness ratio and low-profile arms. Very forgiving install, as long as you drive those lag screws down the center of the studs... Don't cut corners and forget to drill pilot holes. Start with the top hole on each bracket, tighten down the screw to keep your other drill holes and screws from pushing the bracket out of square. Laser levels are helpful for the top screws and to speed things up Would have 5 stars if the 2nd Gen version didn't have brittle hammer coating on the brackets that bubbles up when driving the lag screws. I got a mix of the first and second gen in my order, go for the first if available
