Love my hat box

I reorganized my closet and all my hats were just thrown into a big old box. These hat boxes are stylish and work great in my closet and now I can organize my hats by different sizes. I found them to be pretty sturdy too for what I used them for.

Value and cost are out of whack.

The containers are attractive from a distance. The closer you get the more visible the ripples on the top become. For the cost, I expected more. I wouldn't order again.

Not bad

I will say they are not made out of hard material like plastic or whatever, how ever they are stack-able and you can store your hats just fine. Do not think this is for traveling or for stacking heavy stuff on these boxes. They are not meant for heavy duty uses.. But why would you want that anyway? it does what it suppose to.

Excellent value, look classy, not cheap

I wanted sturdy, attractive hatboxes for 4 or 5 nice hats I have accumulated; the largest has a sunhat type brim, and the others range from wool cloche hats, with smaller brims, to linen and straw with half-brims, needing an in between-size box. I saw that paper boxes were available, and I wanted something nicer. These, with the leather-like bands, and the pretty design on the boxes themselves and the sturdy material the boxes are made of, seemed worth taking a chance on, so I selected them. They are perfect! They are large enough for a couple of hats per box without crushing the hats, and the boxes are very sturdy. I feel I got my money's worth, and now my hats are safe and secure.

Expensive but Gorgeous

I was really torn about spending over $40 for boxes, but I have to admit, it was worth it! The boxes are gorgeous! And they hold A LOT! I recently purchased several Kentucky derby type hats - super large brims, lots of detail. I am able to put several in the largest box with crushing. I use the midsize and smaller boxes for caps and broche style hats. Makes my closet so organized! I bought both designs. Love them equally! I

Perfect for Wool Hats

I've kept my straw sun hats in the closet with no problem, and they're too large for these hat boxes. I was more concerned about wool felted hats I've been making, now that spring is here. These Home Essentials boxes are good for the wool hats because the lids fit snugly enough to keep moths out. Also, the material is breathable, which will prevent mildew. The largest box is big, but wouldn't accommodate my huge Italian straw hat or my straw beach hat, but it is plenty large enough for a good-sized brimmed hat like fedora. There are limited options for hat boxes these days because people don't wear hats like they used to. You can find sturdier boxes but they will be pricey. For the cost, these boxes are perfect for most requirements. Keep in mind that sturdier boxes won't breathe and may allow mildew to develop over the summer.

PERFECT FOR HATS!

THE BOXES ARE GREAT AND NOT JUST FOR HATS, THOUGH THE SIZES ARE APPROPRIATE FOR VARIOUS TYPES AND SIZES OF HATS. THE SMALL SIZE IS GOOD FOR BRIMLESS HATS, BERETS OR SMALL BRIM CLOCHES. THE MEDIUM SIZE BOX IS PERFECT FOR CLOCHES AND MOST HATS, WHILE THE LARGE IS GREAT FOR BRIMMED HATS AND EVEN STORING OTHER ITEMS. THE SIDES AND BOTTOMS ARE BREATHABLE FABRIC BUT RIGID ENOUGH AND THE LIDS ARE GREAT BECAUSE THEY CAN BE WIPED CLEAN IF THEY GET DUSTY.

Great storage boxes

shape and sizes are good

The fabric of the lids are loose and have creases in them. The fabric that wraps the boxes are also kind of a loose fit. Cheaply made, I decided to keep them because they are the shape and size that i need for my project.
